Mariana Zapata is the queen of the slow-burn romance. I've listened to every one of her books on audible, and I've loved them all.
I love Callie Dalton as a narrator as well. I tend to speed up the narration to between 1.10x and 1.25x, which is more my listening speed for her narrations. Regular speed is good too, but I'm impatient :)
Luna and the Lie is actually my least favorite of MZ's books so far, but I can't really figure out why. I still loved it, but not as much as Kulti, From Lukov with Love, Wall of Winnipeg, Dear Aaron, etc.

The characters behaved like teenagers, rather than young adults. First half really dragged, then the author jams a brain tumor and unexplained recovery into the last little bit.

I didn't expect to like this book as much as I did

I liked this book enough that I'm likely to listen again at some point. Really enjoyed it. I could have gone without the singing in it though, but I don't really care for singing on audio books. The singer had a nice voice, I just prefer to read the song words.
