Historia
Writer, mother, and lover of Scripture Glenna Marshall shows us that to love God with our hearts, we must first love him with our minds. Through Scripture memorization, we begin to meditate on God’s word. This causes us to think deeply about God, which leads to intimacy and trust. Scripture memory bolsters our daily faith, grows us in discernment, and gives us courage to walk through trials. It arms us with what we need to share the gospel, to fight sin, and to encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ!

Bad Theology
Revisado: 02-14-24
Performance was good and pronunciation clear. The occasional Valley Girl lilt got under my skin a little. Otherwise great.
The author’s advice on memorization was good, but she also ties in theology that is, at times, downright blasphemous.

Historia
In Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary, Dr. Pitre takes listeners step-by-step from the Garden of Eden to the Book of Revelation to reveal how deeply biblical Catholic beliefs about Mary really are. Dr. Pitre uses the Old Testament and ancient Judaism to unlock how the Bible itself teaches that Mary is in fact the new Eve, the Mother of God, the Queen of Heaven and Earth, and the new Ark of the Covenant.

One Thing...
Revisado: 10-11-22
One thing I'd like to add to this amazing book: the typology between the womb and the tomb can be further substantiated by the presence of the two angels in Christ's tomb, which symbolize the images of angels on the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant. As explained in the book, the Ark is a foreshadowing of Mary.

Historia
A century ago, mountain lions were vilified as a threat to livestock and hunted to the verge of extinction. Its recovery has led to an unexpected conundrum: Do more mountain lions mean they're a threat to humans and domestic animals? Or, are mountain lions still in need of our help and protection as their habitat dwindles? Mountain lion biologist and expert Mark Elbroch welcomes these tough questions. He dismisses long-held myths about mountain lions and uses groundbreaking science to uncover important new information about their social habits.

Great Book
Revisado: 09-17-22
Very long, but enjoyably comprehensive. Loved the anecdotes sprinkled throughout. only thing i didn't like was how political it became at the very end, presuming that the reader supports a democratic approach to handling wildlife (as opposed to, say, supporting what's deemed best by the scientific authorities on the animal).

Historia
Think and Grow Rich is the number-one inspirational and motivational classic for individuals who are interested in furthering their lives and reaching their goals by learning from important figures in history. The text read in this audiobook is the original 1937 edition written by Napoleon Hill and inspired by Andrew Carnegie - and while it has often been reproduced, no updated version has ever been able to compete with the original.

Author is...Weird
Revisado: 05-10-21
The book has good advice, but the author seems like he's a few bricks short of a load, like he's one of those guys that would walk up to a woman he barely knows and say, "God told me to marry you." Very unsettling.
The book was narrated well, though.
