It's a confusing story and as much as I love Scott Brick, this time around he sounded hysterical for a lot of the book. It became grating and annoying to listen to. Way over the top in many places. The story, while it seemed to want to be everywhere was rather boring. None of this is new and there wasn't anything about it to set it apart. It seemed like they threw everything at it to see if anything at all would stick, I returned it.

I very much enjoyed this listen. This is a smart,smart, woman who is living in the real. Maybe cause she was raised right. LOL I never doubted her honesty throughout, She brings forth topics and a perspective borne of personal experience that resonates with me and gave me more than one moment to stop and reflect. She gave words to some thoughts that had been swirling in my head for a while. Thank you, Tressie McMillan Cottom.

What does it mean to be human? I enjoyed this story's answer. This is very good sci-fi. I hadn't come across really good sci-fi in a while.
Humans are extinct, human minds are uploaded to robot bodies, then some unfortunate genetics, then some humans, then some robots uploaded to human bodies, then cyborgs, then ..oh, just get the series. .Solid world-building, fleshed out characters, interesting dialogue, some science,a shocker revelation or two, great narration..as good as it gets.
I paid for my book and I'm off to pay for more of his books.

I was sorry to finish it 30 hours later. I felt I could have gone on listening about the Claskys for another 30. The characters are well developed and kept me engaged throughout. The horror aspect is only a part of the story and pops up every now and again making an impact when it did.

It's a bad zombie story. I hate to do it as I love Mr, Clines previous works, but this ain't the one to start with if you've never read him. I like zombie stories. I've read many, and can say this one is bad with some authority. Don't do it.

GOAT Werewolf Story

I was so excited to see this book on Audible. I read this story first sometime in the 80's and have had many copies of the book not returned to me, since. It is quite simply, the best werewolf story, ever. I have yet to read or see another as good as this one. God knows I've read many. If you've never read it, I'm green with envy because of your first time experience.
The narration isn't what it should be for this tale. Upping the speed to 1.25 helps. I wish someone else had been chosen to narrate. Buy the book and read it first before listening to it. It will be the better experience.
