Obviously incredible story, the reading of women are not good
Revisado: 02-20-25
Enthralling story, you're here for a reason... love the narrator but the way he portrays women is strange. They are all the same three voices / inflections and don't seem to have much to do with the character. Would love to hear how another narrator tackles this or even a theatrical version like they seem to do of every Neil Gaiman production

It's Stephen King? You're gunna like it.
Revisado: 09-16-24
As so aptly put in the authors note Stephen King is soapboxing and in the most important of ways. I wish I read this closer to when it was released because it would have been cathartic, now reading it is post cathartic. Aptly capturing the COVID denier and the hypochondriac, King takes us down a dark detective noir thriller that keeps pace with the rest of his bibliography. A master at the horror genre and a companion between these pages it's a must read!

The top 10 list is populated. The sponsorship program is open. The difficulty is ramping up. The first three floors were nothing compared to what Carl and Donut now face. The Iron Tangle. An impossibly complicated subway system built out of the world's subterranean railway systems, all combined and then tied together into a knot. Up is down.

Excellent. Page turner! Best of Lisa Jewell + Incredible Performance
Revisado: 04-15-24
The story lends itself to an audio production and they DID NOT MISS with this one! I'm a gluttonous person so I enjoy both paper copy and audio versions. I ended up putting down the paper copy entirely bc the audible production is so incredible and well suited to the podcast format of this book. My husband who has 0 attention span and no love for audiobooks or podcasts was drawn in from listening in the background and we ended up finishing the second half in a day. A delightful story where you continually reference back its namesake and just when you thought you've found your bearings it gets ripped out from under you again. Bravo!

Historia
The Grand Hotel is a horror novel by esteemed best-selling author Scott Kenemore ( Zombie, Ohio) that takes the reader on a thrilling ride through an interconnected series of stories narrated by the desk clerk and the residents of the hotel itself. And while it is not known whether or not the desk clerk is actually the devil incarnate, it is strange that so many visitors who come for a tour of the hotel have a way of never leaving.

Performance takes a great anthology & knocks the it out the park!!
Revisado: 03-24-24
I love love love love this book, the performance of the voice actor seriously elevates the experience. You think you're in for a Vincent Price knock-off at first and then you realize this actor has a voice all their own. Fun anthology that has ups and downs and twists and turns, some lighthearted enough and others I dare you to listen to while home alone on a night glowing with the full moon 🌕 definitely worth the listen :) thanks for this collaboration, I planned on reading half book / half audio but the audio is so good I put the book down! Bravo

Now reduced to a schoolyard chant, the Hope family murders shocked the Maine coast one bloody night in 1929. While most people assume seventeen-year-old Lenora was responsible, the police were never able to prove it. Other than her denial after the killings, she has never spoken publicly about that night, nor has she set foot outside Hope’s End, the cliffside mansion where the massacre occurred.

Excellent writing and performance
Revisado: 09-02-23
A gothic mystery where once you think you've got it figured out, you get taken for ride after ride. Delightful and actually somewhat lighthearted among the dark themes.. beautifully written you are swept into the life of the main character as she dissects an unusual sort of grief and home town mystery. You feel attached to the main character and pacing is quite nice. Narration is fantastic, I have heard this woman before and haven't liked previous ones she's done as much as this one.. she is getting better for sure!

His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Wow thank you Stephen and Seth
Revisado: 12-04-22
What a beautiful story, Stephen King nails the dark fantasy, coming of age story. When you get about half way you feel sad you will soon leave the sprawling alternate world Stephen King has created. Including an over boding sense of dread as most of Kings novels, you also feel an overwhelming sense of hope. I am a huge fan although I'm not afraid to criticize but this one takes the cake. Thank you for such a happy, inspiring novel. Seth, the voice actor, brings this story to life in a way I don't think anyone could replicate. Bravo

From anecdotes about first introductions where people patted him on the head instead of shaking his hand, to stories of passersby mistaking his able-bodied girlfriend for a nurse, Shane tackles awkward situations and assumptions with humor and grace.

I have been a fan of Squirmy and Grubs YouTube channel for many years but didn’t pick up the books. Wow, very impressed. I knew Shane was quick witted but it really shines through in this book. Also very thankful to know Shane curses IRL which i suspected lol. This is a story of someone who is just realizing their place in the world and the challenges that lead to overcoming that and obviously in relation to him having SMA. Relatable on so many levels. Loved the performance as well, hard to follow Shane whose voice and delivery we know so well.

Life changing.
Revisado: 02-19-22
I am a lifelong insomniac. I have every app and have listened to every soothing audiobook author, podcaster, whatever. This IS the *holy grail* of sleep podcasts. The performer has a delightfully familiar, raspy voice, just bass-y enough to lull you to sleep. If you want to stay awake and get into a meditative state that works too. All episodes feel grounded in nature. Insta-Patreon subscription. Truly not enough kudos. Would write for longer but I’m listening and getting sleep. Night y’all and THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR CREATING THIS! You turn my 1-2 hours of sleep into 4-5 💜

The most beautiful book ever written
Revisado: 01-03-21
I purchased both the audiobook and the physical copy, and wow.. just finished. I could care less if he doesn’t finish the trilogy. This is EASILY the most beautiful novel in the past 50 years.. I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you it was one of the most beautiful pieces ever written. I am in awe and so thankful that I was recommended this book. Take your time and savor it.. like flowing down a lazy River through the heavens themselves! I am VERY picky about narrators and this one is exceptional. A job well done on all accounts of production.
