Historia
The ninth floor. Nine armies, each led by rich and powerful aliens from across the galaxy. Each team has one objective: to capture and hold the castle at the very center of the battlefield. Strategy, alliances, pitched battles, and, of course, betrayal ... It all makes for great fun and even greater television. After all, none of these powerful aliens really die when they’re playing war. Except this time. This time, winner takes all. Those who fall, stay in the ground.

Historia
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

If you love fantasy, great story telling, and a TON of funny modern-things-named-differently to avoid copyrights, you will love this book series. Sometimes book two is not as good as book one. This is not the case. I loved this book from the very beginning. Also, this is a great book on its own. One does not really have to read book one to be able to pick up where this book begins. Love it and hope for more to come.

Knowledge is power. That would be the motto of Lander University, had it not been snatched up and used to death by others long before the school was founded. For while Lander offers a full range of courses to nearly all students, it also offers a small number of specialty classes to a very select few. Lander is home to the Hero Certification Program, a curriculum designed to develop students with superhuman capabilities, commonly known as Supers, into official Heroes.

Following the devastating attack on Yaresh, its people are left to pick up the pieces. The city lies in ruins, but its decimated defenders have more to deal with than just reconstruction. Both have designs on Jason that he intends to thwart, but a danger comes to light that shifts everyone's agenda.

Just skip the first 80 chapters.
Revisado: 12-07-23
Pros:
1. Reader learns more about the Silver to Gold evolution process.
2. Some interesting Messengers join up with Jason. The female one delivering the Messenger mechanism seemed interesting. The bloke in the underground city from Earth, not so much.
3. Gary's hammers and his short storyline.
4. God of Undeath sounds really cool. His Skeletor minion seems pretty cool and Lich King ish. Jeff on the other hand...
Cons:
1. Jason explains ten times, to ten different people what he is and what he can do throughout the book. So unnecessary. Basically whenever Jason meets a new character (adventurer, Messenger, etc ) he explains it all over again.
2. The first 90% of the book there is no monster killing. Ironic given the name of the series. Yes, Team Biscuit does eventually go out and start fulfilling contracts but it doesn't go into detail at all and almost no skill advancement or anything relevant happens.
3. Astral king storyline is taking over everything. The book should be about killing monsters, not bantering with God's, in my opinion.
4. Too much slap-stick dialogue throughout the book. Jason seriously needs to grow up a bit. For all the crap he has been through speaking to everyone like a fool is just getting old by now.
5. Totally jumps the shark with the deal Jason makes with the God of Death. Totally unnecessary and feels like poor writing.

They did it again!
Revisado: 09-05-23
After the Butchers Masquerade I thought Matt and Jeff couldn't top that story, But they did. Matt, you're amazing. thank you for these books. Jeff, your voice makes it all come alive, thank you as well.
I liked the balance between the Donut/Carl time and the time with the rest of the team. I do think Katia should rejoin the team. She is a great sleeper agent that should be reactivated. I look forward to the faction wars where they can all be together.
i also liked the inside vs outside of the dungeon storyline. it is good that the reader gets glimpses of the macro issues surrounding the crawl, yet it doesn't take it over. Matt, good job threading that needle.
The thing I didn't like is that towards the end there is so much going on I had to reread (listen) several times to get it all. Who is doing what, when, and why. maybe it is just me, but I know if I had a difficult time keeping up I am sure others did too. Nevertheless, I feel like it all had to be in there, and I don't want any of it removed, but maybe there is a better way to present it all so the rest can follow it more easily. small criticism, but something for Matt to think about. I love it all regardless and I don't have any constructive advice on how to improve it. sorry.
Keep up the good work and please do not skip anymore floors of the dungeon. I want a massive story for each level so this can last as long as possible.
thank you for the immoral words, "You will not break me. I will break you."

Historia
As management reels from the unexpected conclusion of the seventh level, the surviving crawlers stumble onto the eighth and find themselves scattered. It’s a map based on Earth’s final days before the collapse, where ethereal, intangible ghosts of humanity go about their lives, oblivious of the impending doom. Living amongst these ghosts are monsters based in Earth lore. “Legendary” creatures tied to the geographical location they inhabit. Each team of crawlers is given a task: Find and capture six of these beasts.

Great sci-fi book that explores what it is to be human, all while strapped inside a 15-foor armored robot. Great time in for the different alien races and the Rbara nation adds a great dynamic to the back-stsbbing human government. loved it. Highly recommend if you're into military sci-fi.
