Good premise terrible writing
Revisado: 01-14-23
He starts with a very questionable situation and continues that vibe through out the book and that's how he gets from one place to another, I'd say quite roughly with a side or cringe. I got half way through it and had to stop. He jumps around a lot so it's hard to remember who's story is who's but it's there, He just doesn't do a good job at familiarizing you with the characters. The narrator is amazing. Mike Chamberlain makes bad books sound good. I think that's what kept me going so long. I think the story lacks flow and it's not very captivating because the situations are not logical to the point it could be frustrating for anyone analytical or intelligent. Without spoiling much it's hard for me to believe someone who created such an advanced ai and facility just let it loose on an oopsie. He wouldn't say that he would know better it's such weak writing. it's just not creative and lacks intellect. It's like a poorly elaborated fearful thought made into a book very sloppily with cliche situations and characters. it's like he took government collapse novels and cut paste ai and here's a book. it's not good.

bad books make days sucj
Revisado: 12-21-22
It's poorly written. the conversations are not believable. it's a bad premise modern sword magic but different planet but obviously Japanese customs kind of. I don't know I'm not Japanese and he doesn't explain what is going on and why. time with characters is quick and he doesn't do a good job at having you get to know them. I listened for at least 2 hours but the story and writing style was very frustrating to listen to. bad books make time move by so slowly. definitely a day ruiner or at least a shift

Historia
After the old gods warred and drove themselves to extinction, the cataclysm of their fall shattered the land of Vigrio. Now, power-hungry jarls carve out petty kingdoms, and monsters stalk the shadow-haunted woods and mountains. A world where the bones of the dead gods still hold great power, promising fame, and fortune for those brave - or desperate - enough to seek them out. As whispers of war echo over the plains and across the fjords, fate follows the footsteps of three people. All three will shape the fate of the world, as it once more teeters on the edge of chaos.

worst book ever written
Revisado: 11-15-22
is this guy for real he repeats himself so much goes off on tangents makes unrecognizable metaphors and overall seems like a person trying to interview for a banking job. he doesn't break anything down just says random things and says he explains it later in the book leaving you confused throughout the whole thing. it's not a fun ride. this guy repeats himself a lot too like a lot he even changed a chapter closed it with a subject then open the next chapter with the same subject almost identical sentence

DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN READ THIS BOOK
Revisado: 02-23-21
If you are a kid save your mind this raping. Let me save you the trouble and pain. Terry Goodkind is an obvious pedophile and BDSM freak. He gets you so involved with this good story and then mind rapes you with two plus chapters where he graphicly describes the main character getting turned into a gimp or sex slave, where he is beaten and tortured by a BDSM mistress. It is the worst most unnecessary turn of events in a story I have ever read. This is a long book too and this comes near the end. What a way to destroy a fairly odd book that had a good story minus a few really weird pedo stuff that is super unnecessary. definitely some red alerts here. He's obviously a pedo the sex slave chapters seals the deal. multiple chapters. There needs to be an investigation set forth on this weirdo. I am so dissatisfied, disappointed, and disgusted. I wasted so much of my life to get to that crap fettish writing at the end. This is porno grade fantasy and not my type. boooooooooo boooooooooo. Terry if I see you in public it's on dude. No I didn't finish, it was that bad. If you can get through those two plus bondage fetish chapters at the end you are probably a weird rich lonely douchebag too. NOT A KIDS BOOK! DONT LET YOUR KIDS READ THIS BOOK!!!!!
