Historia
Something evil stalks the citizens of Rose Valley - not for the first time...but hopefully for the last. After suffering a horrific car accident, Jake Rollins struggles to survive in his tiny hometown of Rose Valley - a place to which he hoped never to return. When a sheep is viciously mutilated on the ranch where Jake is recovering, he's dragged back into the cloying politics of small-town life. While the sheriff tries to pass off the incident as the work of coyotes, Jake turns to Shandi Mason, a local reporter and old high school flame, to search for the truth.

A great start to an entire series!
Revisado: 10-15-22
A fast paced realistic supernatural story!! It was very easy to fall into the fictional world of Rose Valley and it’s characters. This could EASILY be a movie that readers would flock to. I’m an avid re-reader and this one will be read several times!! The narrator did a great job, I’m ready for book 2!!!

Historia
Eloah, a philosophy teacher from a parallel universe, returns to help, but first he must reach the hearts and minds of the people, and resolve the fundamentalist misinterpretations that created our religions. To accomplish his mission, he enlists the help of three old friends who knew him in a previous incarnation...2,000 years ago. Eloah's public announcement and display of supernatural abilities in Cologne, Germany, followed by a shooting at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., sparks a flurry of activity.

Unique and believable
Revisado: 06-04-19
Not a book I would typically pick up based on the synopsis but I’m no book snob, and thank goodness for that or it would have been a big loss! The characters are relatable and draw you in very quickly. Religious preference or lack there of should not deter anyone from reading this. It’s a story that makes you think and wonder aloud. I can’t wait to read the next one.

Historia
Patience is not Darla Decker's strong suit. Surviving sixth grade is tough enough with an annoying older brother, a best friend acting distant, and schoolwork. After adding instructive kissing games and the torturous wait for a real date with her biggest crush, Darla is perpetually torn between behaving like an adult and throwing temper tantrums.

Relatable
Revisado: 05-24-19
I’m not very good with words so here it goes. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. The narrator easily conveyed the emotion a reader would imagine. Darla is a very relatable preteen, however I think the audience for this book would be at least 13+. The sibling rivalry between Darla and Brian is accurate, I could have been reading about my own kids! I am looking forward to seeing what mishaps Darla gets herself into in the next book.

The common people have become the currency, outlaws have shifted to mercenaries, and freedom is no more than a thought of the past. Fear, violence, slavery - throughout his adult life, Barloc has known no other way. A quarter of a century has passed since King Sclavus decreed slavery legal in the Kingdom of Kuldaire. When Barloc is sold to Lord Harbor, his new owner offers queer promises of freedom. Barloc is forced to question everything around him as he embarks on this new trial.

Finally, something different.
Revisado: 02-23-18
This was a quick listen for me. While I’ll admit the narrator is not my favorite, the story is well written. I love a good traditional fantasy or supernatural with obvious storylines and endings but this was quite refreshing in its originality. It is different and unique. I would recommend it to all book lovers regardless of favorite genres. Well done Mr. Zulauf, can’t wait to read what comes next.

Historia
I killed my first victim at thirteen years old - my age, not his. He was going to rape me, him and a couple of his friends. And so, I killed him. And then.... I killed again. And again. At seventeen, I'm killing four to six times a year - maybe more. Don't stress out. I only go after the pedophiles and rapists. There are more out there than I could cover in a lifetime. Saying I did this on my own would be selfish. Enforcing justice holds a glory all its own. But now, my lifelong friend and backup, Deegan, has been arrested.

Fantastic thrill ride
Revisado: 07-12-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely. The story is amazing. Right from the first attack and kill you are sucked into this book an hearing it rather than reading it made it even easier to feel a part of the story.
What did you like best about this story?
Cassie and Deegan and their reason for killing and the bond between them.
Have you listened to any of Jenifer Krist’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No I have not.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Exactly what the first couple of lines in the story's description are. It is what hooked me.
Any additional comments?
Paulson is a brilliant writer and I say this as a reader. The most important thing to me about a book is how it makes me feel. Psycho Inside Me had me on an emotional roller coaster ride and didn't let me off until the last sentence was over.

A fast paced, edge of your seat thrill ride
Revisado: 05-07-14
Would you listen to Forgive Me, Alex again? Why?
Absolutely! I have read the book 3 times and now I can listen to it in the car whenever I want. The story is just amazing and so suspenseful, that you can get so into it that you forget what comes next and anticipate it every time
What other book might you compare Forgive Me, Alex to and why?
Maybe I would compare it to Psycho Inside Me by Bonnie Paulson. They are both about getting revenge for the ones you love, both suspenseful and amazing stories.
What does Kevin Scollin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
While I enjoyed listening to Kevin Scollin and appreciate the emotion he added to the book, Mr. Diamond wrote the story with such detail and passion that I don't feel I NEEDED the audio version to convey that to me, but I will be listening to it over and over anyway!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
If I had 10 plus hours to listen to a book, definitely!
