Historia
Growing up in a small town in Minnesota, Tyler and his two brothers filled their days with chaotic fun, from playing hockey to building forts to making their own home movies. The household was also full of addiction and abuse that ultimately led to their father attempting to murder their mother on Christmas Eve 2007.

Surprised Me
Revisado: 07-24-24
I mainly know Tyler Zed's work from YouTube, so when I purchase this book I did so only to support his work there. Ironically, since I pre-release ordered it, when it arrived, I let it sit for quite some time before reading it. I am so sad that I did, and denied myself the earlier opportunity to read it right away.
First, I had no idea what his family history involved. Second, Tyler Zed has a fantastic view on live and how to overcome the adversity that is both common to everyone and uncommon to some people who are forced to face issues that would destroy some people.
I am happy to have such insight written by someone like Tyler Zed. Bravo.

Historia
Mike Rinder’s parents began taking him to their local Scientology center when he was five years old. After high school, he signed a billion-year contract and was admitted into Scientology’s elite inner circle, the Sea Organization. Brought to founder L. Ron Hubbard’s yacht and promised training in Hubbard’s most advanced techniques, Rinder was instead put to work swabbing the decks. Still, Rinder bought into the doctrine that his personal comfort was secondary to the higher purpose of Hubbard’s world-saving mission.

Very Interesting Book
Revisado: 10-26-22
I have read a number of books written by former Scientologist in the past, so I have heard some of the incidents Mike Rinder's discussed in his book. However, he did put some of those incidences into a new light or expanded on those incidences. Then he also talked about some things that I've never heard about, even after watching interviews Mr. Rinder has given in the past.
for example, I never heard about when the Sea Org took over the Guardian's Office, after operation Snow White. So I found this book a very good read/listen and would recommend it to anyone curious about Scientology and the evil things that Scientology dose.
I also feel bad for him, as he lost his family for doing what is right. I hope someday his kids have their own moment of realization and leave Scientology.

Historia
Despite the fact the border between North Korea and South Korea remains tense, and former President Bill Clinton once branded it the "scariest place on Earth," more than 7.5 million tourists have visited the notorious demilitarized zone for one reason or another. There, they gazed upon a treacherous but evidently intriguing strip of land, guarded by estranged brothers with a chilling array of weapons directed at one another at all times.

The description makes it sound like your going to learn all about the DMZ and learn things you wouldn't know any other way. The first chapters are more about what the Korean war happened, then what little there is in this 1 1/2 hour book can be found on Wikipedia. Don't waste your money.
