I can’t get past chapter 10!!!
Revisado: 06-19-23
I’ve been a fan of iris, Johansen for decades I’ve read all her books and my favorite is the Dunkin’ series. I patiently waited for this book reserved on my Amazon account. I was so excited when they came in the book was downloaded, and I started the book and the first couple of chapters. It was slow, and then Eve was introduced into it. Then the excitement of the lake house, and then Eve exited the book. I am on chapter 10 and I feel like the book is the same as it’s been for the last two the other books The two are much more exciting while looking for a hero of thousands of years ago, but really 2 was enough. I am also reading about characters that I don’t know and they’re not exciting. The characters are trying to copy Jane and Caleb and I’d rather just have Jane and Caleb. This book so far just doesn’t make sense to me and I have no interest in. I don’t know if I’m going to pause it or not go back to it , I just don’t know. Somewhere along the line Bonny was almost deleted from the storyline, but I feel like her relationship in the great beyond with Joe and Eve was awesome. I thought maybe she would play a bigger one with Michael since he can see beyond but she doesn’t The other characters that have become family to Eve & Joe just don’t seem to be around, and when you’re reading a series, those character should always play a role what happened to the reconstructions that if we do because that’s part of her character, and what we would go through as she was completing the final project that’s where the things I miss. As an author, I’m sure you’re always looking for material but if you want to do one of new characters, then just come up with a new book series and don’t include it as an Eve Duncan series. If I’ve gone through 10 chapters and Eve was present for only a few mins please don’t call it an Eve series. Also stop sending Joe to play with Michael abroad he’s a better character than that.

Eve Duncan series
Revisado: 04-16-23
I read the eve stories for so many years, but it’s tough to wait for a few years. Just got busy and didn’t read as much so when I got back I was about seven books behind. I have one more book because every and all of them consecutively what a great story, every book had my interest of course not every minute but if you know the characters from the beginning, do you understand so anybody that started reading her books halfway through the series probably should go back to the beginning and start over because it’s definitely worth knowing these characters. I’m sad to say I only have one more book left, and then the series is complete and I will wait for the next.

Disappointed in the drawn out length of the book
Revisado: 10-17-22
The most exciting part of the book was the ending as most books are, but it took way too long to get to the most exciting part of the book. I feel like I’ve listened for probably 75% of the book just waiting for it to be over I could’ve stopped, and I probably should have stopped, but although I liked some of the characters, I feel like some of the storylines are just too not important for the introduction to the story. Unfortunately I was prepared to buy the next book with excitement that I would have two books back to back to read, but there wasn’t enough love in the character for me to move forwa…

To much drawn out info not necessary for the story line . The dog walker story line inserted had very little merit to the father being a drug dealer . That story lasted such a short part it was only a distraction of low value
