this was another awesome performance by Heath Miller and a great continuance of the story. this is easily one of my favorite slice of Life novels in this genre right now. it's right up there with beware of chicken and a few others. it doesn't require a bunch of nonsense drama to drop the plot and make things feel like they're moving or anything. it's just an awesome wholesome story and further development of the plot. Even knowing what was happened from having read ahead on patreon, I still thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this book

this story reminds of the game supreme commander and a bit of command and conquer. I've actually been looking for a litrpg like this for a while now and this is probably the best of it's type I've listened to so far

I picked this up wanting something a little more chill, or at least with some balance between bad and good events that I could relax and listen too. but this ain't it. first that BS with the lawyer then the mc being a complete moron but I could tolerate those. it wasn't until the shrine was built that I had had enough. it just left a bad taste in my mouth at that point and found myself not wanting to hear anymore. idk if this story gets better, some say it do but I'm just not in the mood for that kinda stuff right now. I might try to come back to this later on when my mood is different but as of now I won't be continuing this series anymore. and if you made it this far and don't know/understand what I'm talking about, mc sacrifices a newborn goblin to an evil god that is threatening his life in the "game world" that he is trapped in. all this BS completely his fault too. like how f'ing stupid are you to sign any kind of document some billionaire's lawyer presented to you without at least talking to your own attorney first?

now that I'm this far into the series some things are starting to bug me. The randomness with which the author changes up how they call the main character is annoying. also the main character doesn't really learn any lessons he still makes the same mistakes and in this book he did a mistake he did earlier on purpose and it almost cost him the final fight imo.

the mc was down right annoying and unlikable. he was dumb as a box of rocks and just all around unreliable. if you want a harem story where the harem is killed off here and there then go for it but I didn't like it.
