Historia
Nearly 50 percent of Americans checked the "single" box in the 2010 census. Because we equate touch with sex, many of us suffer alone when we crave physical comfort and tenderness. Somebody Hold Me takes a simple, radical approach to health and relationships by teaching you how to get more platonic touch. Somebody Hold Me walks you through the increasingly fraught physical space between humans and allows for more connection and closeness through giving and receiving structured touch in your existing relationships.

Amazing ideas!
Revisado: 03-04-20
This book is so necessary now in this world where you can go days or weeks without touching another person. The book is relatable, with good examples and good advice for how to give yourself some awesome self care. I strongly recommend.

Historia
Nine people gather at a remote health resort. Some are here to lose weight, some are here to get a reboot on life, some are here for reasons they can’t even admit to themselves. Amidst all of the luxury and pampering, the mindfulness and meditation, they know these ten days might involve some real work. But none of them could imagine just how challenging the next ten days are going to be.

Historia
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Surprisingly interesting and quality

What did you love best about 14?
I really loved that it wasn't your typical "what's behind the door mystery." all of the payoffs worked for me. I found myself sitting in my driveway to finish a chapter. The men and women in the book were realistic and 3-dimensional.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. I think it's really nice to listen to when you are at a certain point in your life and need a kick in the butt.
What was one of the most memorable moments of You are a Badass?
She has some very good advice. Her description of the difference between a desire and a decision was really interesting.
What about Jen Sincero’s performance did you like?
I like that she sounded natural, and that it's her writing. Some of her accents are strange, but they didn't put me off too much.
What did you learn from You are a Badass that you would use in your daily life?
It has some great advice. I especially like the idea of thinking kind thoughts about what you want (money, new job, boyfriend etc.) and putting those out into the universe instead of nasty, angry thoughts.
Any additional comments?
I really like it. I've listened to it 3 times.
