Why do people believe this stuff?
Revisado: 11-02-04
First, let me say that I am not a lefty nor a righty. I am for whomever I feel will run the country better. Fact is, I hope Kerry wins. Now... it really saddens me to realize that there are millions of people who believe even a single word Micheal Moore says. Much of what he says is exaggerated (if not outright lies) which has been proven. He continues to get rich by suckering in those who have no faith in Bush and then tells you how he has concern for "the little guy." This book, like his past movies and books, is filled with imagination and little fact. *sigh* When will we have writers who prefer truth over their own opinion?

George Carlin = Angry Old Man
Revisado: 11-02-04
Without question George used to be my favorite comedian. However, as time has gone by I've noticed much of his "humor" has turned into complaint filled ramblings that make him sound just like any other bitter old man except he curses a whole lot more. Sadly he just isn't funny anymore. :(

Historia
Surprising, charming, upsetting, enlightening, and ultimately hopeful - driven by the insight and humor of Salzman’s voice and by the intelligence, candor, and strength of his students, whose writing appears throughout the book - True Notebooks is itself a reward of the self-expression Mark Salzman teaches: a revelatory meditation on the process, power, and meaning of writing.

Starts slow, ends too soon
Revisado: 11-02-04
Initially, I was unimpressed with the reader of the book. At one point I almost decided to skip listening and move on to another title. I am VERY glad I stuck with it and got past the first hour. I became totally engrossed and actually got somewhat emotional at times. Feeling both good and sad at the events that take place it made me see that I need to appreciate my place in life a bit more.

Not as good as some others by him
Revisado: 07-30-04
I found this rather slow in comparison to some others by Mr. Koontz. Sure, the storyline has some highs but a lot of this book seems to be filler or fluff rather than content. I found Tick Tock a much more engaging listen.

I don't understand the complaints about "too much detail" being in this book. I enjoy all the little details as she manages to keep them both on target and interesting to some extent.
