Historia
When Penny Dahl calls the Finders Keepers detective agency, hoping for help locating her missing daughter, Holly Gibney is reluctant to accept the case. Her partner, Pete, has Covid. Her (very complicated) mother has just passed away. And Holly is meant to be on leave. But something in Penny’s desperate voice makes it impossible to turn her down. Meanwhile, mere blocks from where Bonnie Dahl disappeared live Professors Rodney and Emily Harris. But they are also harboring a shocking, unholy secret.

Trash
Revisado: 10-01-23
First thing - the audio mixing on this book is terrible. You have to turn the volume way up or you miss about every fifth word as though the narrator had turned her head.
But the real tragedy here, worse than the waste of a credit, is that Stephen King has forfeited or lost all of his abilities as a writer, and has chosen instead to use his platform to trash Donald Trump, and lecture all of us about COVID. Quite reminiscent of Neil Young.
There’s no literary substance here, no story worth telling, The book is awful in comparison to all of the other Finders Keepers series, The book is awful in comparison to most any of his previous works.
Don’t bother wasting a credit or even a click. Trash.

Them is the first book ever to examine the intent of the presence known as "aliens" or "visitors" from the perspective of what both civilian and military close encounter witnesses report happening to them.

More of the same
Revisado: 07-17-23
Not sure what to think about Whitley. His presence in the UFO/paranormal community is unparalleled, his writing is eloquent, and he reads his work well. It is interesting, but seems more like parable and religion to me than anything based in scientific evidence or fact. For this reason, I view it in more of a fictional context. If you liked his other books, you’ll probably like this one. If you are looking for a more concrete, evidential accounting of UFOs and alien contact, I would not recommend this book.

Good Book - King losing credibility
Revisado: 09-26-21
I like most everything about this book. But King's constant jabs at the right combined with what has actually occurred in the years since he wrote it, show him to be a poor judge of real-life people and situations.
Keep your short sighted political views out of your writing and you will be a better writer, Stephen.
