Historia
Compiled by intrepid journalist Neve Pride, this archive of recordings spans the months after dragons emerged on earth, chronicling the communities that sprang up amid the destruction, the scientists, military leaders, and experts searching for a defense, and those steadfastly seeking the missing. Neve and her young daughter Bex travel among the wreckage speaking to those left behind and surviving, against all odds. Neve records everything for history, and in the hopes of locating a clue as to where the dragons came from and how one might stop them.

SO GOOD!!!
Revisado: 04-05-25
I wasn’t so sure about this at first, I was worried it wouldn’t have the character development because of its format, but boy was I wrong. This was truly one of the best audio dramas I’ve ever listened to and I’ve listened to hundreds. I recommend this to anyone who loves Science Fiction. It’s great.

Horrible!
Revisado: 03-15-25
I never leave reviews. I mean, I give five stars when I really like a book, but I never ever leave bad reviews, but this book is an exception. The characters are juvenile. It’s a very frustrating. Read and just completely uninspired. The characters act like they are highschoolers. I mean I get the evil guy is evil that’s fine but the two main “good characters” makes so many frustratingly obvious mistakes. It just feels like the author has all of the pieces to a book but just did not execute it well at all sorry for the bad review, but if anyone’s gonna spend their money on this, think twice.

I read mysteries to challenge my investigative skills. I’m no Sherlock, but I was able to figure out who the killer was in the first two hours of this book. Listening to the protagonist fall into the antagonist’s obvious traps and fall for (his or her) fake lies over and over was frustrating. This book isn’t horrible, it’s written well and doesn’t drone on and on yet if you’re looking for an intelligent mystery with surprise twists and turns then definitely keep looking.

Aaron Fortin is new in town. He drives a brand-new Acura—a gift from his parents for uprooting him in the middle of senior year. Showing up on his first day at the local public school in that nice of a car? He knows he’ll never blend in, and he doesn’t care to try. The car, the new-kid mystique, he can use all that.... Crystal Giordano carpools to the same school in her friend Trevor’s beat-up van. In the van along with Crystal and Trevor are Paul, Harmony, and Gayle. Crystal’s technically part of their misfit group, but most of the time, she feels like she’s the only one who doesn’t fit.

I listened to this in one day, couldn’t stop listening. I really love how it dives into the perspective of both the antagonist and protagonist; and overlaps so you get to see the same events through both. The voice acting is great as well. I wish Audible created more gripping “audible originals,” as suspenseful as this. Most definitely recommended!

This gives you sooo many layers of mysteries and intriguing situations all at once. I couldn’t stop listening once I really got into it. This is so beautifully written. The author does such an amazing job understanding a child’s perspective. I really suggest giving this a listen.

Excellent book and narration
Revisado: 03-04-23
I enjoyed this book, and am amazed by the level of knowledge about science the author put into it. Granted, I have no idea how accurate any of it was but whoa- Andy is either a scientist or put in tons of research. I found this book to be pretty exciting yet I did get a little bored in the middle of this book because of all the calculations and whatnot but if I was a mathematician or scientist I think I’d be very into it. Overall I would recommend this book!

Revisado: 12-02-22
I’m about to go look up with Andy Weir stories because k throughly enjoyed listening to all of these stories. They are like little snippets of ideas of which an entire book could be written about and I would enjoy reading just about every one of them. So glad I stumbled across this!

Disappointed
Revisado: 09-03-22
I usually love Dean Koontz but this book was so weak on so many levels. This is prob the first negative review I’ve ever written- I’m not usually a hater but honestly I have no idea what Dean was thinking with this one. The storyline is so weak, I mean we’re talking a serial killer whose goal is to end the human race yet plans to kill only 7 people? There isn’t any in depth character development, instead of building any strong characters he jumps around and superficially describes numerous characters. The only way he was able to keep the story going was by constantly jumping around from people to people without ever really getting anywhere. There is no evolution. To be honest there are so many things I didn’t like about this book but I really don’t feel like listing all of them so either take my advice or don’t. There are so many other amazing things to listen to on here I know you will find a better option,
