Mo Co mom of two young children when the DC Snipers struck. Fear coarsed through the veins of EVERY person in the DMV (District Maryland Virginia). As I dropped my young daughter off at elementary school in the mornings, a volunteer parent literally shielded my child’s body with their own, guiding her to the safety of the school building. The community was collectively paralyzed with fear. Distinct memory of pumping gas in Silver Spring, MD, while both kids ducked down in their seats. This comprehensive book provided specific details new to me, and I thought I was well-versed. The performances are spot-on. MCPD Chief Moose was stellar in providing info to, and reassuring, Mo Co residents. We wouldn’t have fared throughout as well without him. He took undeserved (and a bit repetitive) criticism from the authors, which was unjustified. Chief Moose was our heartbeat and held us together throughout the ordeal. We needn’t knock down others to self-promote. Kudos to all law enforcement involved. May the victims’ memories live on forever.

John Douglas is a living legend and expert storyteller. Fantastic. Jonathan Groff is the best narrator I have encountered.

K. Collins makes my teeth grind. Horrible narrator. Stopped listening to story #1 bc I couldn’t take any more bad narration.

Story #2 is a great story, not an obvious ending, and good narration.

Story #3, I really can only say the narration was annoying AND it appeared the actual story would be boring.

Do NOT recommend.

Super good Patterson book. Twists and turns from the master. Highly recommend.
Audible requires 15 words. DONE

The narrator's voice grated on my nerves to the extent I had to ditch the book, though the contents were quite interesting. The droning makes me batty, and one night I literally pulled out my earbuds & threw them on the floor. Patterson is really hit-or-miss with the selection of narrators. In my book, he greatly misjudged the proper reader.

I enjoyed the story as long as I was completely absorbed and repeated the mantra, "ignore the narration, ignore the narration." Stopped listening. What a waste. Do NOT recommend.

Interesting story of the destabilization of a lawyer due to booze, illicit sex, and smoking. TMI re the author's "member." Just keep in mind that the author is also the narrator; if you lose track of that, you'll probably get quite annoyed. Recommend.

Great Patterson Book Shot! Not your typical same-old-canned story. Narration is quite good, perfect for Killer Chef. Highly recommend. Welcome back, Patterson!

I would love to give The Whistler an outstanding review, but, as I have stopped listening after just a couple hours, I am unable to do so. Perhaps John Grisham has gone tone deaf. His narrator is so darn annoying, I stopped listening. Be forewarned: She is horrible.

15th Affair is predictable for the most part, though there are a couple twists.
The narrator makes me CRINGE. I hate her voice and therefore hate everything about her. Every book she narrates has the same negative effect on me. I'd suggest potential buyers listen to the entire audio preview. Yuck.
