Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Good voice and story

The book had a sad beginning, then slow middle-book, but keep with it! So good.

Historia
When a young man is found gruesomely murdered in a London houseboat, it triggers questions about three women who knew him. Laura is the troubled one-night-stand last seen in the victim’s home. Carla is his grief-stricken aunt, already mourning the recent death of yet another family member. And Miriam is the nosy neighbor clearly keeping secrets from the police. Three women with separate connections to the victim. Three women who are – for different reasons – simmering with resentment. Who are, whether they know it or not, burning to right the wrongs done to them.

Too Many Horrible Topics
Revisado: 01-14-22
Loved Girl on a Train. This book has excellent narration and is written well but the topics/themes are so incredibly horrible and gruesome. I have a 2 year old daughter and had to finally bail when I reached chapter 30. If depressing and disturbing themes don’t bother you, this book would be fine and intriguing. Not for me.

Historia
The fourth title in Dawn Dais' popular parenting series, The Sh!t No One Tells You About Pregnancy is quite possibly the funniest and most heartfelt yet. After all, pregnancy is not all about scanning Pinterest for baby shower themes and registering for ironic onesies, and sometimes the less flattering aspects of gestation have a way of dimming a bit of that so-called pregnancy glow. Not to worry! Dawn is here, ready to shepherd you through the experience of one human body taking on the task of growing another human body.

Some Good Advice, Terrible Narration
Revisado: 12-30-19
I almost stopped listening because of the terrible narration. The reader sounds like a high-schooler reading a speech off a page in a notebook! I wouldn’t call this book a page-turner but overall, I’m glad I kept listening to the end. The author gives some very real advice that prepares you for what real pregnancy and parenting are like. If you are looking for something mindless to listen to, this is a good one. If you are looking for a regimented step by step pregnancy guide, keep looking.
