Historia
Theodore Roosevelt Jr., (1858-1919), 26th president of the United States, from 1901 to 1909, was also a conservationist, naturalist, and writer. From 1884 to 1886, he established his ranch in Dakota Territory, which involved much hardship and toil. Ranch Life and the Hunting Trail - published in 1888 - is the account of his labors and adventures as a cowboy, hunter, herder, and even a stint as a deputy sheriff.

like listening to a kid who's learning to read

I disliked the narration as much as all the other reviewers. I was looking forward to a story by Teddy Roosevelt. I should have read it myself instead of listening to this one.

Historia
David Marquet, an experienced Navy officer, was used to giving orders. Marquet acted like any other captain until, one day, he unknowingly gave an impossible order, and his crew tried to follow it anyway. Marquet realized he was leading in a culture of followers, and they were all in danger unless they fundamentally changed the way they did things. Struggling against his own instincts to take control, he instead achieved the vastly more powerful model of giving control.

great story, liked how points were presented and the writer shared the actual accounts that support his point. while I understand why the writer listed out his accomplishments in his conversation with Steven covey, the best representation of the changes on board is in the impromptu supply operation, & how the entire crew did what was necessary to get everything done safely, efficiently, & without prompting.
