Recording isn't great quality. There are lots of mispronunciations.
Gets the job done though. It seems to help me learn some new words.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Best Book for Emotional Independence
Revisado: 01-06-20
I recommend this book all the time. Not only is it relevant and useful, but it's written (and read) with perfectly dry humor which makes it enjoyable.
If you find yourself running out of "fucks to give" or saying "fuck this" at any point, READ. THIS. BOOK. It was written for you (us).

Historia
In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

A charming, heart-wrenching, inspiring story that everyone should listen to. This book is full of beautiful imagery and at times complex layers of stories intertwining with one another.

Definitely the best book in the series. Loved it!! I anticipated a few of the plot twists, but most still caught me by surprise, and the imagery and storytelling took my breath away. What an incredible story.

Wicca is a term that is preferred since it is a neopagan form of witchcraft. Wiccans believe in the universal elements of air, fire, water, spirit, and earth. These are elements that make up the Wiccan symbol of the pentacle.

Historia
Quentin Coldwater is brilliant but miserable. A senior in high school, he's still secretly preoccupied with a series of fantasy novels he read as a child, set in a magical land called Fillory. Imagine his surprise when he finds himself unexpectedly admitted to a very secret, very exclusive college of magic in upstate New York, where he receives a thorough and rigorous education in the craft of modern sorcery.

Slow storyline
Revisado: 01-17-17
I saw the TV show and wanted to know how the book lined up with it. The stories are almost nothing alike and end almost completely differently. The TV show, which was confusing for the first three episodes as not much background was provided, made up for its faults by developing the storyline and character arcs very well throughout season one.
The opposite is true of the book. While easy to immerse yourself in this fascinatingly cool hidden world of magic through detailed imagery and background, you are left wondering "where is this story going?" for most of the book. That seems to be the point as it is Quentin's major issue in life: never being satisfied and not having a goal in life. But that doesn't make for an engaging story and the character development is significantly lack luster. Quentin is not the hero I expected him to be.
The book was more like a highly descriptive diary. I am still interested in the next novel, hoping it will be better.

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

how does Roy do it?

I'm most impressed by the variety and consistency of the voices Roy uses in his narration. Not that the story was any less amazing, but the performance was impeccable.
