Historia
Dr Jekyll, a charming doctor explores the possibility of dividing the dark and light side of her personality, but in doing this she creates a monster, Eleanor Hyde. For many years she manages to live under the radar, keeping her dark secret unknown to those around her. However, gradually her evil side gains strength until Dr Jekyll is overwhelmed by Eleanor Hyde, to disastrous consequences. An exploration of human duality and forces of good and evil, this modern retelling is compelling and eerie and retains the disturbing nature of the original text.

An Excellent Retelling
Revisado: 06-10-20
An excellent modern retelling of a classic horror story, My only complaint is that the characters drink far too much (somehow without getting drunk), to the point where it gets distracting. It's as if the writers couldn't think of anything else for them to do during social interactions and between the action scenes. Even while reading the letters explaining the mystery, the characters are constantly popping open a bottle of this or that.
Other than that, a great listen!

Historia
First published in 1766 and a perennial favorite since then, The Vicar of Wakefield is built around the naïve but loveable figure of Dr Primrose. He and his family live in rural bliss until disaster threatens to destroy their happiness: abduction, impoverishment and betrayal combine to lay them low, but a surprising figure brings hope when all seems lost.

Historia
Spanning eras and cultures from ancient Rome to medieval England to 1950s Hollywood, Jennifer Wright's It Ended Badly guides you through the worst of the worst in historically bad breakups. In the throes of heartbreak, Emperor Nero had just about everyone he ever loved - from his old tutor to most of his friends - put to death. Oscar Wilde's lover, whom he went to jail for, abandoned him when faced with being cut off financially from his wealthy family.

Amusing, But Wildly Historically Inaccurate
Revisado: 12-16-17
It's amusingly told, but had I known how wildly historically inaccurate it was, I most likely would not have purchased it. If you are unconcerned with historical accuracy, and enjoy salacious stories, you'll probably enjoy it.
