This is a new kind of introduction into the vampire world, with a very satisfying ending. Yes it seems ‘high school-ish’ but its appropriate to the story line. I’m in my 60’s & enjoyed listening to it. Although I am not ‘chomping at the bit’ for the next one, I will definitely purchase it & plan on enjoying it too.
I enjoyed this book & I look forward to the next 8 in the series.

The first book was ok. Sometimes I felt the author was trying too hard to be funny. The Humor fit the MC of this book better. I even laughed out loud a few times while in public.

You’ve done it again Julie! You write the sexiest sex scenes with incredible & engaging stories & characters. You are an awesome writer with the skill & creativity that puts you definitely in my top 10 & I have almost 20,000 books in less than 10 yrs in my library😘

My new favorite author!

Bravo!, it’s been a while since I’ve found a new author/series that I’ve enjoyed this much. I just finished the fifth book in this series & have thoroughly enjoyed the ride!!! And it was all without romance, unnecessary sex or foul language. Mr Daems I salute you.
The main character was likeable along with her various cohorts. The backstory is original & creative. Each book is action packed without belaboring any scene. The author has a lot of ideas of material to draw from.
A resounding YES these books are worth the credits. And you betcha I’ve already got another book by this author purchased & ready to go!

Very pleasantly surprised!

What a breath of fresh air! I loved the story, the MC, the supporting characters and the narrator. The book was clean & wholesome. A big change for me in this genre. It seems that so many authors just want to increase their word count by constantly throwing in unnecessary swear words! Go BR! A fun adventure based on imagination & good writing.

What a fun ride!! If you get confused when an author jumps from person to person & around in time, then this book isn’t for you. But I found it easy to follow, characters interesting & well developed & the story line twisty & plausible. Glad I bought it!

I just re-listened to this book before going on to the second. I am an avid paranormal fan & have really enjoyed the creativity of this tome. Me Belcher, you have quite the imagination!! I found this book to be captivating & am very much looking forward to the next one that I will be starting momentarily. You have obviously put a LOT of thought into your world building & how it fits into present day. Although there were a number of concepts that flew over my head, they didn’t detract from the flow & my interest in the story.

I enjoyed all 18 books in the series

I zipped through all 18 books, back-to-back and didn't lose interest. The books rotate through the three sisters, in order throughout the series. It makes for a different point of view in each book and that helped to hold my interest. However, I think that because the heroines were strong, intelligent, courageous and likable (as well as the same for the supporting cast) is why I enjoyed them the most. Besides, who can complain about a woman having and managing well, with three husbands?!?!

The series has action, adventure, romance, angst, and humor within easily understandable and non-laborious world building. This one has it all, vampires, fairie queens, elves, demons, dragons, & things I've never heard of. But the author weaves it all together gracefully. There have been many books that I've quickly returned because the world-building was a real grind. I've learned to avoid anything over 13 hours because that seems to be the case if they need that long to get through their story.

Anyway, back to the review. I would have gladly used credits for this series. But even BETTER, most of the books were in the romance package and that made me extra happy:)

I’m ready for the next book in the series!

I found this book to be entertaining & it held my interest. That’s saying something since I seem to be more prone to returning books lately.
Anyway, the heroine was strong & likeable along with her male interests. She kind of bugged me with her repetition if the problems being her fault. She had a part but it’s really the fault of the bad guys. But then she’s young & the world revolves around her.
This book was a new take on paranormals for me & I’ve been into that genre for over 2 years now. The world building wasn’t laborious as some new ideas tend to do. The book was worth a credit to me. And I’ll happily use another on the next in the series.

Another winner from JA Huss

This is one of her darker books , but it’s still well written & fascinating to listen to. This is my second time since I wanted to re-listen to Sasha’s story in ‘Wasted Lust’ but part-way through I realized I needed to go back to Ford’s story & then this one. I’m glad I did & will most likely listen to it all again next year. Her books are just that good.
