A Very Original Original
Revisado: 10-15-19
Picked this up on a whim looking for something a little lighter as I drove back and forth to work. The story is great, and the performance is great. I definately recommend this for anyone looking for an interesting YA story with some depth and emotion to it.

One of my favorite books made awesome
Revisado: 02-06-19
I'll admit that I came in biased in favor of the story as I read this many years ago and loved it. The narrator does a great job with the reading, however, and really gives a live to the story.

Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Historia
The Colour of Magic, the first novel in Terry Pratchett's wildly imaginative Discworld series, takes the listener on a remarkable journey. The magical planet of Discworld is supported by four massive elephants who stand on the back of the Great A'Tuin, a giant turtle swimming slowly through the mysterious interstellar gulf. An eccentric expedition sets out to explore the planet, encountering dragons who only exist if you believe in them, and of course "The Edge" of the planet.

Good book
Revisado: 08-15-05
While I've known that 'Colour of Magic' was a great book, and Nigel does an excellent job reading it. The only thing that remotely hinders this from being a 5 star book is the audio processing used to seperate the footnotes from the main text that sometimes seems to 'bleed' into the main text in some places, as though the mixer had a innacurate cue sheet. In truth though this is a very minor 'problem' and doesn't terribly detract from the quality of the reading or the story.
Then again, maybe I'm a little too critical about such things as Audio Mixing is my career. The Colour of Magic is definately worth a 'read'.
