Another 5 star story
Revisado: 02-11-13
Another 5 star story by Alexander McCall Smith. But that is no surprise. His series about these wonderful characters who live in Botswana is so refreshing in these days of murder and mayhem.
I feel as if I know them all and could easily find them if I made the trip to Botswana.

In The Company Of Others is an inspiring book written by Jan Karon. It is part of the Mitford series and, like all the others in this series is a joy to read or listen to. The author's writing skills are top notch and her creation of the town of Mitford and all its wonderful inhabitants a real blessing.
Please, Jan Karon, keep up the good work.

Agatha and Suchet at their best.
Revisado: 02-10-12
I love Dame Agatha! And having David Suchet as the reader is sheer genius. He knows her characters so well and seems to become them in your minds eye.
The pairing of Christie and Suchet brings so much to the story that the reader or listener go through the book so quickly that they come to the end much too soon.
Bravo!

Historia
Scripture is filled with examples of men and women whom God used late in life, often with great impact—Noah, Abraham, Moses, Elizabeth, and Anna, to name a few. They were ordinary men and women who discovered that the latter years of life can be some of the most rewarding and fulfilling. “For them, growing older wasn’t something to be denied or dreaded;” says Billy Graham, “it was to be embraced as part of God’s plan for their lives.” Billy Graham’s life and ministry have been dedicated to the here and now but always with a happy-ever-after in view.

Practical, Spiritual lessons learned and shared.
Revisado: 02-10-12
Anything Billy Graham writes is based on Biblical principles and personal experience. Therefore, I would take it in and learn from his teachings. Billy is an honest writer and speaker.
What he writes about in this book, most people just don't want to talk about. But, as usual, Billy Graham meets issues head on. He has a gentle but strong way of presenting to the reader or listener.
I would read anything the man writes.

A Very Short Story
Revisado: 02-10-12
The Cat Who Came Indoors is a good story. Of course, I like the lesson about who is the best. But then I am a woman. lol I was disappointed at the brevity of the story. I expected a longer one.

Nothing escapes the eagle eye and quick intelligence of the great Hercule Poirot, and clues abound. Sorting through a dozen perfectly respectable passengers, all suspects, Poirot is tenacious in his pursuit of the truth.

It is the best book I have listened to bar none!

Where do I start?
The plot
The characters
The setting
Last but not least the reader!!!
What about David Suchet’s performance did you like?
He becomes the characters.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed in a lot of places particularly a† the characters reactions to others. They all seemed so judgemental of each other. Then it turns out they were all plotting together. Good misdirection. lol
Any additional comments?
I have listened to the book many times as I work around the house and go walking.
