Historia
Natchez is a stunning saga by NY Times bestselling author, Pamela Jekel, the second in her Southern trilogy. Spanning four generations of proud, strong-willed women, Natchez tells the story of hardships of frontier life, the glitter and opulence of plantation balls, the ravages of the Civil War, and the Great Flood of 1885.

Fascinating!

I have to admit I was never really that interested in the history of the south but I am now. Natchez, while fictional, gives such detail about the period of time in the deep south before, during and after the Civil War, that you feel like you were there. I listen to audible on my long commute to work and it was the first book I have listened to where I kept forgetting to get off at my exit because I was so caught up in the story. The characters are developed so well I couldn't wait to hear more. I strongly recommend this book.
