i love listening to ellen. i loved her stand-up specials and i like her style. unfortunately this book is too sarcastic and pointless. i think it tried to be funny instead of have something substantial to say. i couldn't get past the "jokes" that didn't make the "advice" clear. i got more helpful advice from her actual stand-ups. i love ellen, but i don't love this book, sorry.

loved the book when i read it years ago and also love this version. jeremy irons performed marvelously.. the only complaint i have on this version is right after the last line of the book the voice that says "audible" came after too too quickly that it scared the sh😑!t out of me. otherwise excellent.
