One of the worse books ever recorded
Revisado: 07-19-24
I have listened to all the prior books in this series and found no problem with the reader or story. This novel, however, is deeply flawed. The narrative from author Greg Isles is childish, the story disconnected, even the reader who is normally good seems to struggle with the text. Most egregious failure, in the authors text is Isles' dislike for Donald Trump and MEGA; he simply can't leave it alone and uses every instant of narrative to bash MEGA and Trump. It was offensive to me, and I will never again purchase another work from this author,.

Wilbur Smith's passing is a great loss
Revisado: 07-09-24
Wilbur Smith's last novel is so typically good it's difficult to "rate" it among the dozens of great novels he wrote. His passing is a great loss to the literary World, in particular to those of us who cannot see well enough to "read" a novel but bless the advent Audible in bringing us titles from the world's great authors. Myself, for one, will go back to the earliest release I have in my Library and listen again; the stories are simply too good to only listen once!. David McDonald

Historia
Peaceful suburbia on Poplar Street in Wentworth, Ohio, takes a turn for the ugly when four vans containing armed "regulators" terrorize the street's residents, cold-bloodedly killing anyone foolish enough to step outside their homes. Houses mysteriously transform into log cabins, and the street now ends in what looks like a child's hand-drawn Western landscape. Masterminding this sudden onslaught is the evil creature Tak, who has taken over the body of an autistic eight-year-old boy, Seth Garin.

Worse King Novel ever
Revisado: 11-15-23
This is a story that starts from nowhere, goes nowhere, never develops a cohesive plot, just a bunch of words and shock descriptions. Of all the King novels and I've read them all and am now revisiting and I started with the Regulators; Big Mistake. This is an awful book.

The best Dean Koontz Novel. . . . EVER!
Revisado: 08-12-23
I have AMD and thus cannot "read" a book but Audible gives me access to every book every written; it's a wonderful product. "From the Corner of his Eye" is Dean Koontz 's finest novel, without exception and perhaps one of the Worlds greatest novels ever written. Once begun, the reader, or listener as in my case, is captivated and pulled into one of the most intriguing tales ever written. I'm going to give my brain a r3st for a couple of days and listen to it again. If you read my review and listen to this novel, don't make any plans where you would be unable to listen and cont4mplate life and the World around you.

Try to curb your political bias
Revisado: 05-01-20
While not overt your dislike for President Trump, you are certainly not over the somewhat psychological need to take a shot at President Trump at every opportunity. I don't believe that any of your readers give a shit if you don't' like Trump but i personally don't need it shoved in my reader's face in the prose of a Novel 's story I would like to think you're better than that; maybe not.

Best Wilbur Smith Ever?
Revisado: 04-02-19
Whatever a great audible book contains this one has it. Ben Onwukwe 's narration is superb, his character creation in voice was as good as it gets. The story is or could be Wilbur Smith's best. Albeit written several years ago, the story is timeless, the setting simteless, the plot timeless. I've listened to most every book Wilbur Smith has created in audio form and this one could be the best ever!

Kyle Mills has arrived!
Revisado: 01-19-19
This is one of the best Mitch Rapp novels written. It's taken a while but Kyle Mills has equaled Vince Flynn's story-selling and Mitch Rapp creativity. I was really impressed. I hope that one day soon the book cover will say "Kyle Mills" a "Mitch Rapp" novel with notations to Vince Flynn's original creation. He deserves this level of credit. Also, selecting George Guidall as the reader was genius . . . he can be associated with the Mitch Rapp character, notwithstanding the fact he is arguably the best narrator in the World today.

Revisado: 05-13-18
Second title "Intensity" same story line, even the same Napa Valley scene in the beginning. The first Intensity was a great gripping book, this one is like a serial killer biography, predictable in every way. I had the feeling the Koontz forgot he wrote the original title; took some phototropic drugs and tried but failed to recreate the same story. With his long list of great fiction one must wonder where in the World he came up with this.

Ryan Kealey has no doubt that the forces seeking to tip this teetering world into chaos are just getting better. Better equipped, better organized, and, most terrifying of all, more patient. And despite all the ELINT, the all-seeing electronic intelligence gathered at Langley, nothing stops a devastating attack from ripping through the heart of San Antonio, Texas.

Wrong narrator for this book
Revisado: 04-24-16
Would you try another book from Andrew Britton and/or David Ledoux?
The narrator for this novel David Ledoux is not a good choice as narrator of this book. Previous Ryan Kealy character novels were read by Christopher Lane and his voice is on target, but Mr. Ledoux has a "sing/song" way of speaking which I don't think fits the characters or settings of a Kealy novel
How did the narrator detract from the book?
His delivery was not compatible with the main character
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes
Any additional comments?
Use a different Narrator for Ryan Kealy character; Christopher Lane was very good.
