Not sure why the words male and female were used so often. He was so male and she was so female... LOL But the suspenseparts of the book were good.

Great story...Hard to like the lawyer
Revisado: 03-13-17
Great story line! But disliked the lawyer whose point of view the story was told through. So much so that it was distracting. I would be annoyed by a thought, action , or comment and put the story aside sometimes for as long as a few weeks. Glad I did finish it. I really liked how creative the story was and his clients! I like flawed protagonists usually. Just this one kept rubbing me wrong. Looking back its possible it was the tone of voice and other choices made by the reader for the lawyer? Narration was good and I liked his voice overall.

What made the experience of listening to AT Bay the most enjoyable?
I really enjoyed hearing AT Bay. John Mefford is an awesome author. I found myself biting my lip, laughing, and cringing at various points of the story. The narrator was good at giving different characters their own voice,,, always a plus.
What did you like best about this story?
The characters are a fun mix that play well off each other. very imaginative style of murder. Descriptive enough to get your mind going overtime but never stepping over into gratuitous gore.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Not only did I listen to this book straight through as I cleaned the house, I've replayed it twice since then. Looking forward to hearing the next AT book.!

It's finally over. I despised this novel completely. No new concepts pertaining to human nature, no character to like. Enough time wasted.

Historia
Hetta Coffey is a globe-trotting civil engineer with attitude who is working on coming of age, a little late. Pushing forty and still single, Hetta is the epitome of the "B" word: bold, bossy, brassy, breezy, and brash. After leaving a lifelong swath of failed multinational affairs in her jet stream, it is no wonder Hetta prefers living with her dog, R.J. But old habits die hard, and trolling for triceps is Hetta's hobby....

l enjoyed Ms Richmond's narration and Hetta's love for her dog made her a much more relatable character than she would have been without him.

Historia
Why we think it’s a great listen: Some books are meant to be read; others are meant to be heard – Water for Elephants falls into the second group, and is one of the best examples we have of how a powerful performance enhances a great story. Nonagenarian Jacob Jankowski reflects back on his wild and wondrous days with a circus. It's the Depression Era and Jacob, finding himself parentless and penniless, joins the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth.

Fell in love with this captivating story.
Revisado: 02-03-16
Where does Water for Elephants rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
One of the best audiobooks I have ever heard. Loved both actors voices and made it easy to know if we were in present day or in the protagonists youth.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Water for Elephants?
Don't want to ruin it for anyone who has not heard the book... so lets just say it involves the elephant smashing something.
Which character – as performed by David LeDoux and John Randolph Jones – was your favorite?
Have to say, loved them both, but the old man's point of view was a hoot!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
If I was on a long road trip, otherwise its too long. Was always hard to hit the stop button though.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

What would the world be like if JFK hadn't died?
Revisado: 02-03-16
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Enjoyed the most of the ride but the ending seemed anti-climatic.
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Yes, enjoyed everything about the narration with the big exception ((shudders)) being the voice he used for the female lead.
