I have listened to this more then once. The story is very different than most other thinners. The characters are multi-dimensional. Narration is too notch. Warning... more then one book.

Narration was great. Characters repeated the same emotions, thoughts, and actions. felt like the author was forced to make a one book idea into three books.

It is hard to believe this is the same author as the Submissive series. Maybe it was one of the author's rookie pieces. The major thing lacking was character development. It had potential but did not deliver. It followed a formula which I would be fine with if I believed in or was rooting for the characters.

likeable characters, don't care for music

This was a free download from Audible. They wanted feedback regarding background music, noise, etc.

The characters were really likeable. The story kept my interest.

I did not like the sound effects, background music. For the first half of the book it would startle me any time the music started. I am not sure if that was because the volume would suddenly increase or I was just not expecting extra noise. I do not think it added anything to the story. in fact sometimes it took away from the story. I felt like it was a Lifetime movie. The music just seemed to make it more spot than it needed to be. If the narrators are excellent no noises or music are necessary at all.

Not a romance, not erotica

Would you try another book from Maggie Ryan and/or Sierra Kline?

No, from Maggie Ryan. Maybe for Sierra Kline if she doesn't have to do male voices.

What was most disappointing about Maggie Ryan’s story?

It wasn't erotica. It was more about a man being in charge, a woman always needing to reflect and/or deal with guilt.
The anal scene with Sam was about punishment and humiliation. I should have read all the Amazon reviews.

The punishment and discipline descriptions at the beginning were more how I expected to have spankings described for a child. Maybe this is true submission. If so I like my fake BDSM and fake alpha males that are more typical today.

What didn’t you like about Sierra Kline’s performance?

The male voice was just not good for me, seemed so condescending.

Any additional comments?

Not a romance, not a love story. More like DOMESTIC DISCIPLINE. I suppose my search for romances with alpha males let me jump too quick to buy this book.
