Overall a good book.

It was a great book with a very interesting story. I did not however, like the recipes in between the chapters. That was as useless and just as annoying as placing poetry in between chapters. Also, the descriptions of wardrobes was over the top for me as well. I personally don’t care what fancy food the characters are eating/preparing. I felt like I was reading a Fashion Weekly magazine while also browsing Pinterest for recipes. 🤷🏻♂️ There were some dead spots in the book, but overall I found it to be a very enjoyable book.

Terrific book.

This was truly a terrific book. My uncle was killed in Vietnam in 1971, many years before I was even born. I've known several Vietnam vets over the years and have always had so much respect for them. This book was a very detailed look into the everyday life of a soldier during that war. I'm glad that I got to read this book.

A really strange book.....

If you like Stephen King then I'm sure you won't be disappointed by this book. It's laden with all sorts of strange and........well jacked up things that come from the mind of Mr. King. I however, didn't like the book and my preconceived notions about Mr. Kings writings were confirmed. As noted earlier, jacked up! Hope this review was helpful to someone though and can either steer someone towards or away from this book.
