Historia
For years, rumors of the 'Marsh Girl' have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand. Then the time comes when she yearns to be touched and loved.

Amazing. Absolutely. Completely
Revisado: 05-29-22
This book will become a classic. It is written in the same vein as many a literary masterpiece. It is a tribute to nature and the human spirit. A tale of truimph over great adversity and also how we are always so much more than we seem. So much stronger than even we know. Powerful even when we seem so meek.

Historia
It is a strange paradox that many of the clearest, most comforting life lessons are learned while we are at our lowest. But then we never think about food more than when we are hungry, and we never think about life rafts more than when we are thrown overboard. The Comfort Book is a collection of consolations learned in hard times and suggestions for making the bad days better.

A beautifully narrated guide to self-forgiveness
Revisado: 04-28-22
This book is a hug. It is a balm for the weary soul, an encouraging word to the broken spirit. To love and accept yourself is something you often learn after much pain. This book tells you it is ok to be you. That in itself is lifesaving.

Historia
This is what he remembers, as he sits by the ocean at the end of the lane: A dead man on the back seat of the car and warm milk at the farmhouse. An ancient little girl and an old woman who saw the moon being made. A beautiful housekeeper with a monstrous smile. And dark forces woken that were best left undisturbed.

Beautifully written and narrated
Revisado: 12-19-21
It was narrated by Neil Gaiman. His voice was so soothing and really was a lot of the experience. The book was very interesting, it was simple but at times unexpectedly terrifying. It was very nostalgic and I loved the way it was told, like a memory that one day pops into your head. The story was beautiful, one of childhood and alternate worlds, friendships, sacrifice and loss.
