Historia
At first, it looks like a disease. An epidemic that spreads through no known means, driving its victims mad with memories of a life they never lived. But the force that’s sweeping the world is no pathogen. It’s just the first shock wave, unleashed by a stunning discovery - and what’s in jeopardy is not our minds but the very fabric of time itself. In New York City, Detective Barry Sutton is closing in on the truth - and in a remote laboratory, neuroscientist Helena Smith is unaware that she alone holds the key to this mystery...and the tools for fighting back.

Refreshing and intriguing. And probably not far off the mark.

One of the most interesting interpretations of the “many timelines” hypothesis I’ve ever heard. Humans will definitely destroy everything if we ever get our hands on this tech.

Historia
Two astronomers have detected a strange, pulsing signal from deep space. Within hours, the US government goes into lockdown, restricting airspace and scrubbing scientific data. Was the signal an intercepted communication revealing alarming plans for an enemy’s military strike? Or has humanity at long last found proof of extraterrestrial life?

The ending was a refreshing departure from the standard science fiction fare.

A very entertaining tale of fiction that felt like it could be real in today’s times. The cast was believable, as was the storyline.

Mind bending/breaking
Revisado: 01-18-23
As a middle-aged parent struggling to raise young children in the age of computers and non-stop data generation & consumption, this book opened my eyes to several possibilities for the future my children will be living in when they are my age and beyond. It is both comforting and worrisome at the same time. I consider myself an intelligent person but after reading this book, along with his prequel, Sapiens, my biggest fear is that I do not possess the intellect to adequately prepare my children for the world of the future. Except to teach them to be open to new ideas, hungry for knowledge and above all how important it is for them to be critical thinkers.
This is a fantastic book and I will definitely be reading it again. Soon.

Phenomenal Trilogy
Revisado: 10-01-21
The Protectorate Trilogy, Velocity Weapon, Chaos Vector and Catalyst Gate is absolutely stunning in its complexity and it’s ability to grab the reader’s attention and never let go.
