Eventhough this book was fiction, it wasn't science fiction. I do like dogs a lot. Cats too!

Time displacement - nothing was where it seemed to be.

I liked the way time evolved fast and slowed down or up! A virtual science roller coaster. The villain of time was the daughter who killed her father was a sad situation rubbed me toward not liking her at all! Killing me softly with her song. That was the writers viewpoint regarding near the end of this novel. I needed to listen to that part a couple of times to stay on point. Still a fun book regardless.

Drinking & Smoking

I liked the ghosts more than the people dealing with the ghost - the rules laid down for the dead was silly for me and I hoped for each book I listened to hope the books would get better, but that didn't happen, but I still listened on - hoping the writing would (hopefully) get better? It didn't and left me disappointed. I will not want to listen to ghost stories again if writers write a book like this book I just finished! Again a very a disappointing series of 6 books.

How to live with magic is all over in their lives

That this place was always about witches, vampires and werewolves and how they live there lives dealing with what was normal for them and there lives. I liked the narration of New Jersey slang since my parents came from Brooklyn New York. Listening to the narrative reminded me how my parents could turn on & off the slang of the east coast.

magic and sci-fi

I disliked sci-fi mixed with magic. It leads to a fact that the author is weak writer to not having enough skills to convince (for me personally) that he needed magic in character to explain lack of science to get the characters to get through the story from beginning to end. So, magic makes some of us to listen (like me) to the entire book. I'm a dedicated fan to listening to sci-fi
and Audible since 2002-2023. And the hits keep on coming.
