I chose the audiobook read by Whoopi and it was the best decision I made. She shares her life’s innermost thoughts, struggles and wisdom in a conversational way that you feel you are sitting across from her drinking a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. By the end of the book, she makes you feel like her best friend forever. I highly recommend it.

Well Written, Touching & Heartbreaking

This audiobook opened up the cruel reality of royalty life in a profound, conversational way. Listening to Prince Harry’s raw description of the night his pa broke the news of his mum’s death together with his family’s mistreatment during the numerous disappointing chapters of his life made me gasp in disbelief. Royal family members are like marionettes driven by the public & media. They disown their life. Its culture promotes a cancer-like shadow that eats away the circle of trust within its closest members & protocol ignites egos to trample over each other without mercy. Princess Diana’s story would have been repeated if Harry & Meghan remained in London. Glad they are free and paving their path their way. I highly recommend this book.

I just finished Anita Moorjani’s, nonfiction bestseller, “Dying to be Me”. It is her story from birth through her 4-year bout with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma that progressed to stage 4B cancer. In February 2006, weighing only 85 pounds with her organs shutting down and having fallen into a coma, she had a near-death experience that changed her life forever. Ms. Moorjani manages to put in words the fascinating step-by-step details of her journey to/from the other side to the unexplainable eradication of cancer cells to full recovery within days that have left doctors from all over the globe confused. Ms. Moorjani’s book is masterfully written and she also narrates the audible version. I give this book 5-⭐️

Written with love from the inside looking out, Todd Fisher speaks from the heart about his privileged upbringing, the special bond he shares with his sister/mother, and provides insights on his and each of his family member’s personality, their virtues and vices.

The Fisher-Reynolds story confirms that regardless of income, no one is immune from the adversities that plague typical American families such as jealousy, drug addiction and mental health issues.

“My Girls” is a great read! If you listen to it on audible like I did, you’ll get an extra bonus as the narrator is Fisher himself. Enjoy!
