Historia
For thousands of years, there has been a cycle: a Demon King rises and conquers, and a Hero is reborn a hundred years later to defeat him. Each time, civilizations are ground to dust beneath the Demon King's hordes, but humanity has remained secure in the belief that a Hero of legend will always save them. There's just one slight problem. It's only been 23 years since the Demon King's latest rise, and this time, he's already conquered more than half the world. If humanity simply waits for the Hero's return, there may be no world left for him to save.

Audible version of “Zelda” with a twist
Revisado: 05-31-20
It was fun! Not what I expected but well executed and I enjoyed it. Probably a lot of fun for those who play fantasy games.

Historia
Have you ever been told to smile more, been teased about your accent or had your name pronounced incorrectly? If so, you’ve probably already faced bias in your everyday life. We like to believe that we are all fair-minded and egalitarian, but we all carry biases that we might not even be aware of. We might believe that we live in a post-racial society, but racial tension and inequality is pernicious and pervasive. We might believe that gender inequality is a thing of the past, but it is still ubiquitous.

We are all biased and have to dig deeper to get better
Revisado: 05-13-20
A wonderful exhaustive book about the research behind unconscious bias. We have so much work ahead of us. Recommended for anyone who es ya to understand implicit bias more. Would have liked more info at the end about tips to deal with the biases.

Historia
The Overstory unfolds in concentric rings of interlocking fable that range from antebellum New York to the late 20th-century Timber Wars of the Pacific Northwest and beyond. An air force loadmaster in the Vietnam War is shot out of the sky, then saved by falling into a banyan. An artist inherits 100 years of photographic portraits, all of the same doomed American chestnut. A hard-partying undergraduate in the late 1980s electrocutes herself, dies, and is sent back into life by creatures of air and light.

Intricately and masterfully written, slow pacing, like the lives of trees
Revisado: 10-20-19
This is one of those books that builds consciousness by showing, instead is pushing. It would probably be a hard read for those who prefer a fast paced story. Nevertheless, the stories are perfectly interwoven and the pacing connects you to that real way which nature moves, that which human life has so much ignored and which is what we really need to survive long term.

Historia
Does nature really make us feel better? The 3-Day Effect takes a look at the science behind why being in the wild can make us happier, healthier, and more creative. Whether it’s rafting down Utah’s Green River, hiking in Utah’s wilderness, or walking through Rock Creek Park in Washington, DC, scientists are finding that the more exposure humans have to nature, the more we can benefit from reduced anxiety, enhanced creativity, and overall well-being.

Planning my trip but lacking the science
Revisado: 06-06-19
I feel motivated to take a 3 day outdoor trip, but would have been more convinced if the science and data had been more explicit, more explained. Some Performance is good in the sense that it’s real people stating what they go through.

Listened at speed 1.25, a ver special way to communicate to achieve different results
Revisado: 05-14-19
I recommend this audiobook to people who are searching for ways to achieve different results in their relationships and interactions with other people. The methodology is easier said than done, but it’s definitely worth a try. Marshall Rosenberg was very talented in creating and executing this methodology, but he speaks very slow for my taste. Speed is not an issue if you listen to the book in speed X1.25. Worked pretty well for me.
