Well done
Revisado: 01-30-24
I really liked the main character. She's been through a lot in her short life. Her mother's problemed and she's sent to live with her grandparents, given a second chance. The writing is good and immediately had me interested. The narration is good. She was overzealous with the small children but otherwise very good.

There aren't words to describe how amazing this story is. it's one of very few books that I can read repetitively. Both author and narrator are the best of the best. Won't be wasting a moment to get into Bloodmarked!

I loved the first 4 books in this series and am so sad the rest aren't in audio. With my life I need audio and this is one of the best series I've read/listened to in months. The narrator is awesome too. I want the rest!

Ugh. Sooo disappointing
Revisado: 12-18-23
I wanted to love this book but I can't. To start with the author didn't seem to care much for Emma and gave her no personality or anything for me as a reader to connect with. After the big ugly happened she seeped a little emotion but I already didn't care by that point. I kept listening and hoped the ending would improve my opinion of the story but no. The ending was horrible. It wasn't an end to anything. The story just drops off, no end, no nothing just blah.
I will give the author some credit. She did outline well the problems in the legal system and how the media loves to victimize the victim over and over.

Historia
With the body-hopping supernatural psychos finally vanquished, it seems like it might be time to relax. You know, have some fun. Hang out with my friends. Focus on my magical education. And, if all goes according to plan, take my relationship with Kai to the next level. Trust me, having spent my early-20s locked up in an institution, I’m more than ready to celebrate that particular rite of passage. But if I’ve learned anything in my short time in the world of witches, it’s never to let your guard down.

This is the first one in the series I've read or listened to and I didn't feel like I was completely lost. There are enough details about the world that I was able to jump in. The story is action packed with well developed characters.

loved it!
Revisado: 04-03-22
Jennifer Ridge is a new author for me. I really enjoyed the story. It had all the fantasy I enjoy and the author has a great imagination. The world building didn't leave me bogged down nor did it leave me confused. She added the right amount to put me in the world and a strong plot that kept me listening.
The narrator had good pacing and an easy to listen to voice.
