Clever. creative, and smart romance
Revisado: 08-27-24
If you've ever wanted a do over in your life, read this and see a new twist on time-travel. I love the characters. They are so vivid and real especially the grandmother. I could completely identify with not doing a good job of communicating in a relationship and the consequences of that poor communication. Want a 5 year do over to see how you can make better choices with with the wisdom that only comes with age? So much fun to see how this plays out.
I absolutely loved this book!! I want more from Leeanne Slade.

This book will really make you think
Revisado: 11-02-22
I LOVED this book. It hooked me right from the beginning and kept me interested throughout. I definitely didn't suspect it would end the way it did. I loved the way the way the author really takes you into the mind of the main character. You can imagine how you might handle the situation she finds herself in. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy a good mystery with a little thought provoking time travel mixed in. I even like the way science was brought in to support the plausibility of it.

narrator was robotic
Revisado: 06-06-22
I love the concept of this book but the reading was terribly robotic so much so that it was painful to get through and next to impossible to focus on. I also would not recommend this as an audible book because there were diagrams that were not described in the audible version.

thought provoking story line.
Revisado: 01-24-21
this is the best book I've read in a while. the characters were so well developed and likeable. I could totally relate to them. initially I thought it was a fluff book but then became engrossed in the story and didn't want it to end. these are the kind of women I want its friends and such an interesting and thought provoking story line.

Why we think it’s a great listen: Seabiscuit was a runaway success, and Hillenbrand’s done it again with another true-life account about beating unbelievable odds. On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. Then, on the ocean surface, a face appeared....

Best book I have read in years!!!
Revisado: 09-07-20
Such a fantastic and inspiring story of survival. I learned so much about the history of WWII and of the time period in general. The narrator had a calm and soothing voice which really helped to be able to get through some graphic and painful material. Reading this book has enriched my life. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking to understand this topic better.

wonderful story weaving love and mystery together
Revisado: 01-29-20
historical fiction beautifully done weaving the story of 2 generations together in a very inspirational way. I usually stay away from holocaust stories because they are so painful to read but this one makes you want to read more about it and dig deeper into understanding the human spirit and what it can mean for your own story. thank you for lifting the veil from my eyes.

read only if you're already happy
Revisado: 06-03-19
so very disappointed that I couldn't force myself to read it for another minute. really just made me angry that some know it all who has everything anyone could ever want or need would have the nerve to try to tell others how to be happy.
