Historia
Years after its release, Neutral Milk Hotel’s In the Aeroplane Over the Sea remains one of the most beloved and best-selling albums in all of indie music, hailed as a classic so influential as to be almost synonymous with the ongoing vinyl revival. But despite its outsized impact, a question looms even larger: why did frontman Jeff Mangum, just as the record propelled him to the brink of music superstardom, choose instead to disappear entirely? The mystery has perplexed listeners for decades—until now.

I completely enjoyed it.
As a big fan of music it was a treat to find and hear such a thorough book on E6, I was sad when it ended.

Historia
Roger Keith “Syd” Barrett was the definition of a golden boy. With good looks and an aptitude for music, he was a charismatic child who fast became a teenage leader in 1960s England. Along with three school chums - Roger Waters, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason - he formed what would become Pink Floyd.

Likely due to the cover, I was surprised by the quality of this book, thoughtful and well written, factual and careful in its conclusions, very satisfying listen.

Historia
One person talks; the other listens. It's so basic that we take it for granted. Unfortunately, most of us think of ourselves as better listeners than we actually are. Why do we so often fail to connect when speaking with family members, romantic partners, colleagues, or friends? How do emotional reactions get in the way of real communication? This thoughtful, witty, and empathic book has already helped over 100,000 people break through conflicts and transform their personal and professional relationships.

What did you like about this audiobook?
Much less focus on why you should listen and much more on how, there is a heavy guilt implying/shame angle to this book, it feels manipulative and gets old fast. I kept waiting for the author to get to the meat and bones of his book.
How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?
Make your point once or twice but stop restating the same idea over and over, less hot air, make the book more straight forward and useful.
Does the author present information in a way that is interesting and insightful, and if so, how does he achieve this?
Hes does an OK job, he has a speech impediment which is unfortunate but tough to listen to for 11 hours.
Do you have any additional comments?
I can think of a few people in my life with very bad listening habits that would gain from reading this book, as for me I was looking for something more functional and straightforward.
