It truly is a great book that hooked me right away. The descriptive story telling always drew me in, and I finished it rather quickly.

While good, I will say the story left me wanting to right some of the wrongs written in for the characters. A few deserved so much more, which just a few minor changes. The ending left me feeling a bit…. Disappointed? I don’t want to give any spoilers away, but there were definite changes I’d make.

I would still absolutely recommend this book and will read more from this author.

Wonderful fantasy

I was looking for a book that would grab my interest right away after being in a book slump. This one did just that. It flows well and keeps your attention throughout.

Great book on its own

This is easily the best written out of the series. The story is engaging and has a great plot. Character interactions feel normal and not rushed in this one.

The series goes downhill after this one unfortunately. So if you are just looking for the one book, get this one. Don't get dragged into the rest of it.

Waste of time

There is a great plot hidden in these poorly wrote books, but you need patience to find it under all the awkward sex scenes. Poorly developed support characters are sprinkled throughout. I wish they could have reached their full potential.

The main character Jess seems to fluctuate between two actual people. Example, it's brought up how she is stubborn, a few times even, but she's the opposite of stubborn. She constantly bends to everyone else. How is that stubborn?

I had high hopes for this book series after the first book. But they just go downhill and don't redeem themselves. It was actually a struggle to finish it and I found myself fast forwarding for the first time ever in an audiobook.

This books reads off as though a horny teenager wrote it. Seriously, the main characters have sex, a lot. That's not even the problem. It's that it's childish and does add anything to the story. If anything, it just draws away from what is actually a decent plot.

I finished the books only because I wanted to see how the main story played out. You have all these great characters, but half are underdeveloped because half of this series is the two main characters having sex (or as they call it, getting matches, cause they are adults). Literally this series could have been two books instead of four.

Don't waste your time on these.

This book was ok, enough for me to want to finish it. The narrators were good, each did well, and I appreciated the different people for the male and female parts.

This story is written as to show you how awesome Tesser is. He's a dragon by the way, in case you didn't know. The author reminds you over and over again. Not just in a description of things. Straight out "I am a dragon". Constantly. I found it super jarring to listening each time it was brought up. It just seems completely unnecessary.

I probably won't get the second book in this series.

The book is really good. I didn't want to stop listening so I could find out what happened next, even though I was getting tired hearing about his dimples. The narrator wasn't horrible, but she wasn't good either. Her men's voices were so off. She also took on a bored tone most of the time
