Great Story, Excellent Plot!

Loved loved loved this story. Very good sci-fi that takes a deep look at multiverse theory. Beautifully read. I just loved it. I am about an hour out from finishing and can’t wait to see how it wraps up!

Historia
Working at the local processing plant, Marcos is in the business of slaughtering humans - though no one calls them that anymore. His wife has left him, his father is sinking into dementia, and Marcos tries not to think too hard about how he makes a living. After all, it happened so quickly. First, it was reported that an infectious virus has made all animal meat poisonous to humans. Then governments initiated the "Transition". Now, eating human meat - "special meat" - is legal. Marcos tries to stick to numbers, consignments, processing.

Bizarre
Revisado: 01-22-24
I’ve never read anything like it. The writing was great as was the narration, but I couldn’t help but thinking that the whole story was just a little too far fetched for the imagination. There were scenes that seemed gory for gory’s sake and pointlessly graphic. It was a disturbing read to say the very least.

Kept me guessing
Revisado: 01-22-24
The book had some grisly and graphic descriptions of the Vietnam war that were hard to listen to at times. But the story kept me guessing and ended perfectly.
