It's like a comic book
Revisado: 12-09-23
This story follows the same old story line about an naturaly born man who's powers become manifest as the storty moves along. He has a supernatural brain that contains all infomation that exists in the world. He's also aware of every inovation as soon as it' discovered or created. Physcally, becauce has studied every self desfene disipline, even those that are only known by the most remote cultures in the world
He is unbeatable in hand to,hand combat, no matter how many opponents he faces at one time. His aim with a weapon exceeds that of a computer.

Historia
In 1942, the Solomon Islands formed the stepping stones toward Rabaul, the main base of Japanese operations in the South Pacific, and the Allies primary objective. The stunning defeat of Japanese forces at the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal in November marked the turning point in the war against Japan and the start of an offensive in the Central Solomons aimed at New Georgia. New Georgia: The Second Battle for the Solomons tells the story of the land, sea, and air battles fought there from March through October 1943.

The best thing.
Revisado: 08-06-23
The best thing about this book, is that it will cure insomnia.. If your goal was to put people to sleep, there's no one better suited for that than Paul Bloede. I enjoy military history books. But I couldn't keep my mind focused on this one long enough to judge the merits of the writing. What criteria do they use to select a narrator?

Historia
Dave Robicheaux felt the bone-grinding pain rip through his body as the .45 did its damage. Through the agonizing haze that enveloped him, he heard an almost inhuman laugh - the hideous, victorious cackling of Jimmie Lee Boggs - a sound he would never forget. It had started out as an ordinary prisoner transfer, then turned into a blood bath when the convicted murderer got hold of a gun.

though in this, the narrator was not very good. His accents changed as the story went along. I couldn't tell when a woman or man was speaking. They all sounded the same.

Historia
Schoolteacher Olivia Dare Christian was murdered in her Hampton, Virginia, apartment in 1981. Her killer left few clues and the murder went unsolved. Three decades later, in 2011, next-generation detective Randy Mayer re-opened Olivia's dusty cold case file and began unraveling the mystery. Mayer located a reluctant witness who was a teenager back in 1981. She recalled a suspicious man lurking outside Olivia's apartment the morning of the murder and provided a detailed description of the man.

Interesting Story
Revisado: 07-13-23
I think this book could have covered the subject with a lot less fluff. I wanted to know what the murderer received as punishment.. But I skipped over a lot of the book because I. wasn't interest in the life history of every person involved in the case.

Historia
In the early summer of 1866 half a million men from Prussia and the Austrian Empire fought the largest battle in European history prior to 1914 in the rolling hills of eastern Bohemia. The results of the battle determined that Prussia and not Austria would be paramount in the German world going forward. The Prussian victory at the Battle of Königgrätz has traditionally been ascribed to their possession of a breech-loading rifle and use of railways.

Revisado: 05-13-23
He sounded like he was gargling the words at the back of his mouth and somehow blocking some of the sounds with his tongue at the front. An amazing feat but impossible to listen to. who in the word choose this guy for narrator? I can't comment on the story . I. don't know what this guy was trying to say!

Historia
Shrunk: Crime and Disorders of the Mind is a collection of powerful chapters by eminent forensic psychologists and psychiatrists who write about mental health issues they face and what they are doing about it. Unlike any other book within the genre of True Crime, Shrunk is the first book that delves deeply into the disturbed human psyche to help build a solution to the problem of understanding mental illness within the criminal justice system.

Historia
On 27 October 1942, four "Long Lance" torpedoes fired by the Japanese destroyers Makigumo and Akigumo exploded in the hull of the aircraft carrier USS Hornet (CV-8). Minutes later, the ship that had launched the Doolitte Raid six months earlier slipped beneath the waves of the Coral Sea 100 miles northeast of the island of Guadalcanal and just north of the Santa Cruz Islands, taking with her 140 of her sailors. With the loss of Hornet, the United States Navy now had one aircraft carrier left in the South Pacific.

Historia
On a foggy summer night, 11 people - 10 privileged, one down-on-his-luck painter - depart Martha's Vineyard on a private jet headed for New York. Sixteen minutes later, the unthinkable happens: The plane plunges into the ocean. The only survivors are the painter Scott Burroughs and a four-year-old boy, who is now the last remaining member of an immensely wealthy and powerful media mogul's family. Was it by chance that so many influential people perished? Or was something more sinister at work?

Historia
As Union commander George McClellan moved the Army of the Potomac up the Peninsula in early 1862, the Union army still had a nearly 2-1 advantage in manpower, so Army of Northern Virginia commander Joseph E. Johnston continued to gradually pull his troops back to a line of defense near Richmond as McClellan advanced. In conjunction, the Union Navy began moving its operations further up the James River, until it could get within seven miles of the Confederate capital before being opposed by a Southern fort.

Battle of Seven Pines
Revisado: 01-02-23
I was born in Richmond. I can remember my father pointing out the Seven Pines battle Field when I was very small. So I've heard and read a lot about the battle, but I believe this is the clearest, easiest to follow account of it. Though It's far from a detailed study.
