While I enjoyed the story written by the author, the narrator sounded like an American that had only seen a half dozen French words in his entire life. He really needs to get with the main line narrator and discuss with her how to pronounce names, Victor’s especially. It was really distracting but I otherwise enjoyed the title.

Needed better editing

This is a book I have read before in standard book format I listened to as part of my re-experiencing of the series. This particular recording has editing issues that are frustrating. Ending a chapter, stating The new chapter number and beginning a chapter have almost no pause to them and sound like a single run on sentence, not two paragraphs and a chapter title. The reader also drops his voice so low at times, the listening device can barely produce the sound, depending on which device I’m using. But if I adjust it for the low points, I’m blown away by the louder parts. That’s just editing that needs to be done better. The book itself was enjoyable both times I went through it.

A fun little book read by Jim Butcher himself! It’s short but that’s perfectly fine. I enjoyed every second of it.

Bloopers at the end

Ha! I absolutely loved the bloopers at the end. You should do them more often! The story this time is decent, though it had some eye roll moments, especially when someone would say something, the character would go “huh” and make them say it a second time. It happens way too often.

Amazong book, even better narrator

If you're a geek, and if you probably are if you're reading this book, then this book being read by Wil Wheaton is the gold standard of audio books. The book is very different from the movie, and WAY WAY better. Wil Wheaton does not disappoint either. He makes the book come to life in your mind. Absolutely worth it!
