Historia
Nisha Cantor lives the globetrotting life of the seriously wealthy, until her husband announces a divorce and cuts her off. Nisha is determined to hang onto her glamorous life. But in the meantime, she must scramble to cope--she doesn’t even have the shoes she was, until a moment ago, standing in. That’s because Sam Kemp—in the bleakest point of her life—has accidentally taken Nisha’s gym bag. But Sam hardly has time to worry about a lost gym bag—she’s struggling to keep herself and her family afloat.

Never boring!
Revisado: 03-25-25
Great story! Loved how the characters really came to life. Couldn’t stop listening….I was inventing chores to do and errands to run as an excuse to listen just “a little longer.”

Historia
In the fading days of late summer, 2011, self-taught astrophysicist Petra has calculated that the atmosphere will collapse in a few weeks’ time—on September 21, at approximately 9:20 pm—ending the world as we know it. But the distraught Petra will not have to carry the burden of this terrible news alone for long. Fate intervenes, bringing her into the orbit of a pair of unlikely companions: Johan, a man whose intellectual prowess is remarkably overshadowed by his culinary skills, and Agnes, a seventy-five-year-old widow who has made a fortune posing as a young influencer on social media.

Loved the characters!
Revisado: 03-08-25
I loved the humor, the character development, and their crazy lives. At times I thought it was getting to be a little long, but I loved every second!

Who am I? I've forgotten the answer to that question long ago. Ever since I ran from that house, so desperate to escape, I left with only the clothes on my back and socks on my feet. After that day, I've only ever walked in stolen shoes.

Too much sadistic sex
Revisado: 03-02-25
I never thought I’d complain about sex scenes, but this book went above and beyond vividly describing sadistic/masochistic sex. And there was a lot! I finally started fast-forwarding through them. It had a good start, but then so slow the rest of the book. And the “ghosts”—- come on!! No semi-intelligent person would have believed that b.s. from the start. I finished it but mainly because I wanted to have the right to gripe about it! 🤣

Historia
Charlie knows he’s not the main character in his own story. He’s just another schmuck in the Ivy League looking to be somebody. He plays in a terrible jazz band, falls in love too easily, and struggles with the human being business. Written in a wry, comedic style, A Comedy of Nobodies: A Collection of Stories traces one fall semester in the lives of four typical but unforgettable university students who, as compensation for their existential anxieties, just want to feel understood.

Not funny
Revisado: 12-30-24
Maybe this just wasn’t my type of humor, or writing, but it was like rambling with very little comedy — maybe it was supposed to be a comedy of errors?

Annoying protagonist
Revisado: 09-26-24
I’m not sure if it was the narrator or the writing, but Maggie came across as whiny, melodramatic and wishy-washy. It was a good story in general otherwise.

Gav isn't really sure how he ended up with a castle full of goblins, or why he has a princess locked in a cell. All he can do is play along with his own evil plan in hopes of getting his memories back before he gets himself killed. But as he realizes that nothing—from the incredibly tasteless cloak adorned with flames to the aforementioned princess—is quite what it seems, Gav must face up to all the things the Dread Lord Gavrax has done. And he'll have to answer the hardest question of all—who does he want to be?

Revisado: 09-24-24
I’m not normally a big fan of fantasy, but I am a fan of humor. This book was a delightful, fun read with excellent narration, imo. If you’re looking for something light and entertaining, I’d highly recommend.

In today's world filled with terrible dating apps and split-second hot takes, all Zuri Robinson wants is something real. And between her crap job, her family drama, and feeling like she completely missed out on her twenties, she's pretty much done. Her only bright spot is exchanging letters with a ridiculously charming guy in Italy. Only Alessandro Fabricare has a teeeeeny little secret . . .

So slowwwww
Revisado: 07-29-24
The story moved so slowly! I listened on 1.5 and actually skipped 3 chapters in the middle, then 3 more towards the end. If you like paper, I mean really like paper, then you’ll like this book. If you’re wanting a fun, romantic read, you might look elsewhere.
