A Highland Ghost for Christmas
Revisado: 06-15-18
I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun, lighthearted and yet touching story.
It flowed nicely and the narration made the story come alive. Even though I've already read the book and knew I loved it, I was excited to listen to the audible version too. Very well done and enjoyable listening to . Read with the perfect speed and their voices held my attention. (oh...gotta love that accent too!)
Maddy is trying to heal a broken heart and her friend decides to give her a psychic reading as a Christmas gift. That’s when everything changes. Cullen is a gambling, bad boy Highland ghost, and when he notices Maddy, he really wants to get to meet her. His counselor angel , Cee Cee, makes a deal with him and gives him a chance to redeem himself because she thinks Maddy and Cullen will be able to help each other. That’s when all the fun begins.
Several laugh out loud moments and some very touching moments also. Jo-Ann Carson really made this a fun and interesting story and I was happy to be able to listen to the audio version now too.

Blue Chow Christmas
Revisado: 04-19-18
This story held my interest and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. It’s filled with close knit families, romance, suspense and some heartwarming moments. And, let's not forget the two adorable chows.
As we learn more about Brian and Cait in this book, we learn that some people are dealing with emotional and social problems and it takes one person with love, patience and understanding to accept them and love them just the way they are.
The narration was well done. Read with the right amount of emotion when needed and each character was easily recognizable as the story went on. The story was read with the right amount of speed and the right amount of emotion during sweet, humorous and touching moments.
I enjoy all the books in the Hart Family Series and as usual, Rachelle Ayala gives us another great story.

Ghost of a Promise
Revisado: 03-02-18
I have to start by saying I read the print version of this book awhile ago. It is the first book by Kelly Moran that I read and have read everything she's written since. When I heard this one was going to be done in Audio, I had to take a listen.
The Story: Ava inherits an old mansion from her Aunt and plans to turn it into a B&B even though rumor has it , it's haunted. In order to keep the mansion she has to solve the 200 yr. old mystery. I felt so much emotion throughout . From laughing to crying to feeling warm and fuzzy .
The Narration: Wow..just wow. The narrator does a wonderful reading of this amazing story. He did such a good job that I had to stop and really listen to make sure there wasn't more than one person doing the voices. Some of the characters have an accent or are of different ages and I think they were all very well done.
Often, I find my mind wanders when listening to an audio book but this one held my attention and I listened to it in one day.
So, when you combine an excellent author and an excellent narrator with a wonderful story, you have a win for sure.

A Wedding for Christmas
Revisado: 11-03-17
A beautiful Christmas wedding that is planned for Kelly and Tyler with six year old Bree taking her flower girl duties very seriously, runs into a few snags.
Tyler is a Veteran dealing with his own PTSD and is devoted to helping other Veterans and former teammate deal with it also. This takes some of his time away from his fiancé and family and causes a few issues.
Kelly is a strong willed , independent woman who is feeling overwhelmed and has a lot to deal with. She certainly has her share of twists and turns and surprises in this story. Will their love be strong enough to endure everything that comes their way?
Brownie, is a large, sweet, protective dog that you can't help but love. He also has a very important part in this story.
This book is the perfect story to remind us of the importance of helping others and the true meaning of Christmas. It is filled with love and heart wrenching moments and yet has some humor dealing with little Bree and Matt. It had me reading well into the night and waking up early just to listen to the last chapters.
Elizabeth Klet is the perfect narrator for this story. Her character voices are perfect and holds your interest while listening. She reads with so much emotion too.
Another excellent , heartwarming story from Rachelle Ayala.

Playing Without Rules
Revisado: 10-27-17
Another emotional, touching story by Rachelle Ayala that held my interest.
Brock and Marcia have a second chance to be together if they can get past the secret between them.
The story deals with the sensitive subject of abuse and how it effects their lives as they learn to overcome the past and the decisions they make. It is an emotional, story but also has a touch of humor and romance.
Listening to both the male and female narrators was new for me. I think they both did a good job at telling this story. The male voice gave me goosebumps, but it seemed like his parts were done in bits and pieces and inserted into the audio and didn't flow smoothly. But, that being said, I enjoyed listening to them.

Her Christmas Chance
Revisado: 10-12-17
Another beautiful, heartwarming , uplifting , emotional story written by Rachelle Ayala.
Two people, each feeling unworthy of love, find each other (thanks to sassy Mr. Klutz the cat) and help each other overcome a disability and misconceptions. Each learns to accept themselves as they are and forgive others for their nasty treatment of them.
I loved Chance and Bella in this story and how Miss Kookie (dog) and Mr. Klutz made me smile. A great story not only for Christmas time but year round and one we can all learn from.
The narrator, Kate Marcin does a really nice job of reading the story. Never boring and her impression of the cat was hysterical.

A Pet For Christmas
Revisado: 09-18-17
What made the experience of listening to A Pet for Christmas the most enjoyable?
The pace and the emotions of each character were well read and kept me interested.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked everything about this story. It was deeply moving and helped some readers understand the real drama that returning veterans face and what their families and friends also deal with as they struggle to put their lives back together. It's a sweet, touching and at times heart wrenching story that manages to give us a warm holiday feeling also. (and what could be better than adding a pet to a story to make us smile?)
Have you listened to any of Elizabeth Klett’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes, I have listened to other performances by Elizabeth Klett and this one is just as good as the others.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Oh gosh, there are so many moments. In fact at one point I had to turn it off and get myself under control again.
Any additional comments?
The story is a blend of so many emotions. Tyler dealing with PTSD, working in Afghanistan on his charity, never feeling like he is doing enough and he is a sweetheart. Kelly dealing with a risky pregnancy and trying to keep little Bree happy through the holidays and missing Tyler. Bree has so many questions and wants so many things but is a normal, active, inquisitive and somewhat stubborn little girl. It's one of those books that you just want to keep reading/listening to until the end and hope for that happy ending.

Deck The Hearts
Revisado: 09-10-17
What was one of the most memorable moments of Deck the Hearts?
There are many memorable moments. The one that really stands out for me, is when Holly and Gordon go to visit her Grandmother and tell her a story.
What does Kate Marcin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Kate makes the characters seem to come alive. I enjoyed reading the book and also enjoyed the narration. She reads with so much emotion and does the characters really well.I never got bored and was able to be fully immersed in the story.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Right from the beginning the story caught my attention. It starts out being humorous and then becomes heartwarming and touching. I laughed out loud several times. From the names of the characters alone, I knew this was going to be a "magical" story!
Any additional comments?
Rachelle Ayala gives us a story that has us feeling many emotions. From humor to touching romance, this story can turn the biggest Grinch into someone with Christmas spirit. It's a sweet story to just sit back and relax and escape the rush of the season or anytime you just want to escape from life's stress.

Christmas Stray
Revisado: 09-07-17
Where does Christmas Stray rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It is my favorite audiobook to listen too. It's one that will become a Christmas tradition to listen to every year. (and maybe any time of the year when you need an uplifting story of hope)
What about Kate Marcin’s performance did you like?
Kate did a wonderful job of making the characters come alive and her narration of each of the voices was perfect. I felt the emotion of the grieving, frustrated parents and the innocence and sweetness of little Patrick . Her singing was also enjoyable! :)
If you could take any character from Christmas Stray out to dinner, who would it be and why?
I would have to invite the whole family including Patrick the elf. Each of them have their own interesting and deeply moving story to share. Maybe, instead of going out for dinner, I'd have to cook for them so puppy could come too.
Any additional comments?
What a beautiful, sweet, touching story! It doesn't have to be Christmas time to enjoy this wonderful book. Little Patrick and puppy will warm your heart and the story will make you believe in Christmas miracles. It moved me to tears and was so heartwarming.
