Historia
Sasha Pierce hasn’t had a single dream since she was a child...until she accepts a substitute teaching position in the charmingly witchy village of Old Middleton. Her first dream in twenty-five years ought to be enchanting, but her wonder quickly turns to shock when she realizes that it’s not a dream at all, but an entirely different sort of magic. Catapulted through an ancient portal into the fairytale kingdom of Between, Sasha’s astonishment is swiftly upgraded to panic when she accidentally performs a supposedly impossible feat and is declared the True Queen of Between.

Lots of fun.
Revisado: 04-28-24
Hints of adult content but nothing graphic. Just barely R rated. Mostly fun and silly.

Sadistic violence, torture fills whole chapters.
Revisado: 12-06-22
Framing story ok, many wrong modern references. Tries to make up for deficit by increasing violence, sex, and sadistic torture. Author can do better.

Sadism
Revisado: 11-29-22
This series began well, but gets darker and more R or X rated as it goes forward. Story is good without it, but with it I may quit reading.

Revisado: 04-02-21
The story is good for its time. Women's roles were thought of as wife and mother, too weak to act as primary characters.

Awful, bleak, and full of profanity.

Why publish such a dreadful misuse of the series? Profanity, lack of cohesiveness. Entirely depressing and without a redeaming feature.

These humorous tales are brought to life by Derek Jacobi as Father Christmas, John Moffatt as Polar Bear, and Christian Rodska as Ilbereth the Elf, complete with specially composed music.

Good, sort of..
Revisado: 09-14-18
The reader's voice is too whispery, which makes it difficult to hear at low volumes. The way she reads Morgan depicts her as weak and whiney. The same lines read well would show a strong warrior complaining of an unexpected weakness. Think of K. Hepburn in her movies. The proper names...I thought "sean..." would give us "shawn..." Sean Connery? Seanagarra? Oh, well.
