Historia
Millions are satisfied to sit through hour-long, weekly religious services. Millions more have left the church, brokenhearted and cynical. But God is waking up his people - people who will risk everything and sacrifice anything to become the dynamic, powerful church seen in Scripture. We Are Church calls Christ-followers, young and old, to hold fast to their biblical roots while seeking radical change. Scripture promises an exuberant and unstoppable church. That wondrous early church of acts can be our reality today.

Must-read for men who want to know who they are!
Revisado: 05-23-21
I've been on a journey recently of understanding who I am and whose I am. The concept of false self is something I've been wrestling with and this book helped me better understand how I've believed lies about my identity. Loved this book and would recommend it to anyone looking to better understand their TRUE identity as a son of the King!

Captivating from start to finish!
Revisado: 03-16-17
I was hooked from the very beginning. A phenomenal story that captures the history and culture of an iconic brand. I loved hearing the "behind the scenes" details but more importantly I was intrigued by the interaction of team. Knight's transparency about the many successes and failures was insightful and incredibly refreshing.

Historia
In Dad is Fat, stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan, who’s best known for his legendary riffs on Hot Pockets, bacon, manatees, and McDonald's, expresses all the joys and horrors of life with five young children - everything from cousins ("celebrities for little kids") to toddlers’ communication skills ("they always sound like they have traveled by horseback for hours to deliver important news"), to the eating habits of four-year-olds ("there is no difference between a four-year-old eating a taco and throwing a taco on the floor").

Historia
Speakers often use the words vision, boldness, and influence to describe the characteristics of effective leaders. In The Most Excellent Way to Lead, Perry Noble makes the case that the heart of great leadership lies elsewhere. Perry, despite being voted least likely to succeed in high school, beat the odds against him. Today, he inspires 3,500 people every weekend to live for something greater than themselves. He credits this achievement to the leadership principles he has learned from the Bible.

One of the best leadership books I've ever read!
Revisado: 06-30-16
I'm probably like most people in that I've heard this passage of scripture used mostly at weddings and in respect to marriage. I love how he helps the reader to understand that it is about leadership! Both marriage and leadership obviously involve people and relationships so it makes sense, I've just never thought about it in this light.

Good content but sometimes boring
Revisado: 05-19-16
I enjoyed the content and feel that it applies to more than just endurance sports, but it definitely got more scientific than I anticipated. That is not bad in and of itself, but some portions were rather dry and boring. Overall I think the reader can learn a great deal from this book about the power of the human brain and how we can best leverage its power!
