Single Narrator I Very Confusing

The story becomes very difficult to follow when the character changes each chapter, but the voice is basically the same.

First three books were narrated great because it was always Darrow. And then the last two books added multiple characters, and having multiple voices made it very easy to follow. This book is just a mess to keep straight

Narrator can't pronounce industry terminology

It's not "C Hashtag" or "Ka-shay" .... lol
They are pronounced "C-sharp" and "Cash"

he also stumbles a fair bit on words

Too Many Omissions

Too many items are noted as "not included" in the book, which makes this book unnecessary short and anemic in content.

also, the narrator never calls out the figure # for stuff being referenced

Almost Worthless Without a PDF

Doesn't come with any PDF to download, so all you hear over and over and over and over is "Sample code provided in written version"

Narration is awful, slow, and robotic. This audio book is actually much shorter in content than you would initially assume, because the narrator takes forreeevvvverrr to say anything.

And all that terrible stuff aside, the little bit of content that the audio does provide is so anemic and surface level, that it would be of little use to anyone other that the most novice of novice. Even then, the material is so vague, it could be talking about any language, not really C++

Too Many Voices

Perhaps I am just used to the more traditional audio books with a single narrator, but the constant swapping of voices is very distracting.

also, I could do without all the silly sound effects and music

Excessively Wordy

I really was looking forward to this book, but wound up pretty disappointed. The manner in which it has been written is exclusively wordy, and unnecessarily verbose at times. more times than not, I am afraid.

During the whole listen, I couldn't help but think "Sqpeak plainly! You don't need this word sentence and writing paradigm to be heard and appreciated."
