I did the Audible version of this book and the narrator was bad. Her voice was like nails on a chalkboard to me. The storyline was quick and didn’t give you a lot of time to get to know the characters. I finished the book because it was short and I paid for it but I wouldn’t read again.

Melinda Leigh did it again!
Revisado: 05-30-24
I’m a big Melinda Leigh fan. I’ve read several of her books. They always deliver in suspense and realism. I love how she ties family issues and romance in as well.
However, I did rate performance a 3 because the narrator’s portrayal of Matt was low and creepy. It was irritating to hear (audible app).
I highly recommend the book.

If you’re looking for suspense this is the book for you.

The storyline was great. Without giving away too much of the story, it kept me on the edge of my seat. I didn’t see the ending which was good. The twists were very well written.
I did the audible version and that was a bit irritating. The narrator always seemed to talk in a whisper voice. There were parts of the book that a whisper would have been appropriate but not the entire reading.
Overall, a very good book. I will add this author to my “favorites.”

I couldn’t put this down! He was brutally honest in his story. I could feel his pain in every page. It made me laugh and made me cry. I’m sad that by the time he got his self together it was too late. I hope he’s finally able to rest in pease. Thanks for the laughs Mattman. 🥺
