Historia
Flavia de Luce has taken on the mentorship of her odious moon-faced cousin Undine, who has come to live at Buckshaw following the death of her mother. Undine’s main talent, aside from cultivating disgusting habits, seems to be raising Flavia’s hackles, although in her best moments she shows potential for trespassing, trickery, and other assorted mayhem. When Major Greyleigh, a local recluse and former hangman, is found dead after a breakfast of poisonous mushrooms, suspicion falls on the de Luce family’s longtime cook, Mrs. Mullet.

Finally another Flavia De Luce book!
Revisado: 12-12-24
Flavia lives on! Can’t wait for another one! Well written and believable. Loved the comedy relief and the huge red herring from previous books.

Historia
Elizabeth Black is the headmistress of a girls' school in 1830s Victorian London. She is also a well-respected author of stories written both for and about the upper-class ladies of Victorian society. But by night, she writes very different kinds of stories - the Penny Dreadfuls that are all the rage among the working-class men. Under the pseudonym Charles King, Elizabeth has written about dashing heroes fighting supernatural threats, intelligent detectives solving grisly murders, and dangerous outlaws romancing helpless women.

Historia
Daphne always loved the way her fiancé Peter told their story. How they met (on a blustery day), fell in love (over an errant hat), and moved back to his lakeside hometown to begin their life together. He really was good at telling it…right up until the moment he realized he was actually in love with his childhood best friend Petra. Which is how Daphne begins her new story.

Good emotional growth story
Revisado: 07-03-24
The story was a good “emotional growth” story. Learn to live in the moment and don’t be afraid of new things or people. With past baggage it is better take a good look and then leave it behind. Don’t let shape one’s future. Would have been better if sex scenes had been left out and left to the imagination.

Enola Holmes is the much younger sister of her more famous brothers, Sherlock and Mycroft. But she has all the wits, skills, and sleuthing inclinations of them both. When a young professional woman, Miss Letitia Glover, shows up on Sherlock's doorstep, desperate to learn more about the fate of her twin sister, it is Enola who steps up. It seems her sister, the former Felicity Glover, married the earl of Dunhench and, per a curt note from the earl, has died. But Letitia Glover is convinced this isn't the truth, that she'd know - she'd feel - if her twin had died.

Narration and plot development needs some adjusting
Revisado: 10-30-21
Enjoyed the books so far but, do not like how the narrator makes the lead sound like she is talking baby talk. The voices for the other characters are great though. So, not sure if it’s the reading for Miss Frost or the writing for that character. And after 20 times or more of mentioning how hot the two contenders are and how great they kiss, we get it and that she is a total foodie. A little more time invested in the plot instead, would be worth it to make the books a higher rating and better read.
