Highlights of the team; no stories.

I like stories, audiobooks and the Detroit Tigers, so I was really looking forward to this book. However, I was disappointed. First, it does not contain a collection of great stories, it's simply the background behind the building of a couple of the Tigers teams. Second, the stories jump around from year to year without compelling reason to be jumping around.

I was impressed at all the daily game information the author was able to dig up from the 1883 season. The pre- and post-game stories about the players, managers and owners were great.
