Very cheesy and male character was a little too hero stereotype. The girl's backstory is also a little more soap opera cliched than it needs to be. Performance was good and makes for a nice background story to have on while driving or cleaning.

For a "strong" female lead, this character was too complacent being left in the dark about a lot of situations. The author provided a lot of interesting hints about the lead characters past and abilities, but mostly failed to provide those answers to any degree of depth as the story went along. It ended with more questions than answers - not in a good way - and culminated in a disappointing read.
