MZ is killing me with her books. I can’t stop listening once I start and my to do list goes out the window. And of course, this book was no different. The narrators were great!

This is my favorite MZ book so far and that’s saying a lot since I have really enjoyed all her books. The narrators were amazing and their dual narration was seamless. Highly recommend it.

This book actually helped me. If it sounds like I’m surprised, I am. I was hoping the book might have some helpful information but it did more than that. It gave me a different way to think about things, which is hard to do considering I am very set in my ways. Instead of my all or nothing thinking from before, I celebrate progress no matter the size. And that in turn prevents me from feeling bad about myself like I had before and then ruminating for days on end on how I messed something up. By preventing this cycle from even beginning, I feel a sense of freedom from a destructive part of myself that was only hurting my morale. This book has done the unexpected - it made an impact.

I met the author at the LA book festival recently, and I told him I wasn’t his target audience. (I’m a middle aged wife and mother of two with an accounting career.) He responded that everyone’s his target audience. Maybe that’s true because I loved everything about his amazing book.

I enjoyed listening about the intersection of sexuality, gender, and identity from two lovable fictional characters. Art constantly made me laugh, and the story was so engaging that I listened every chance I got. Even though the main characters are teenagers, this book made me think about my own identity, my marriage, and parenthood. This is the kind of story that stays with you and makes you laugh and think and even appreciate humanity a little more.

I can’t wait to read BT’s next book.

I absolutely loved this book! I don't typically listen to books of this genre, but I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I liked the mix of action, small moments of romance, and all out geekiness. The humor was great. And although I don't really agree with it, I loved the view on "the human condition". That part just floored me. In any case, great book!

This book has definitely changed my way of seeing work, and just life in general. My job can be stressful at times and I have already found myself implementing the practice of immersing myself in the process to great relief. I've also quoted the book in conversations several times already. Although it would seem that the title tells you everything you need to know, there's a lot more beneath the surface that the author does a great job of explaining. Like what you may ask? Well, you'll just have to discover that for yourself. "This is where the fun begins!"

If you have read The Fault in Our Stars, then don't read this book because you'll spend the entire time comparing the books and finding a ridiculous amount of similarities in the plots. The worst part is that I actually wanted to like this book.

Spoiler alert! Don't read past this sentence if you haven't read it.

Too many similarities. Star crossed kids who have had cancer go on a journey. They meet an author of whom the girl is fond. The boy's cancer returns with a vengeance and he dies. Except this story wasn't half as well written as the other. The girl spent half the book thinking about the boy and what he thought of her and if he loved her. Very annoying. But because I listened until the very end, I gave it 3 stars. It was ok.

I loved the book. Her organizational methods are simple but inspiring. However, I didn't love the performance. It was ok, but the narrator needed some more inflection in her voice.
